Anyone recall this recruit?

Chris Singletary (Class of 2006)
A couple years ago he was one of the top 10 in Illinois and a hot commodity.
There were a few reports that may have suggested BU was interested but they obviously haven't been for a long time.

Singletary was a top PG/wing guard at Chicago Farragut, then he transferred to a high school in Georgia, then he came back to Chicago, then transferred to a prep school in Florida (one that had a lot of bad problems for a while), then after prep school he committed to Mizzou, then decommitted.

Now he has finally landed somewhere.
He has verbally declared he will play at Kent State next year.
KENT STATE??
Sounds to me that the kid probably just ran out of places that would deal with him.

I would agree.

But Kent State isn't like Youngstown State. Wasn't too long ago they were in the Elite 8.

Uh oh, could there be problems for Singletary?
He just finished at Florida Prep, and look what's in the news this morning.
One of Singletary's teammates who had already enrolled at South Carolina, has been denied admission as his academic records were considered inadequate.

Florida Preparatory Academy is one of the prep schools that has been under scrutiny by the NCAA.
