Here were a couple articles in The Sporting News by Mike DeCourcy, that mention Bradley. I don't know if they were posted already.

    Links are the same

Thanks Smitty. Could you please edit your post as your two links are the same -- both are the Oden article that mentions Zach and Les.

Here is the one about Patrick O'Bryant--

I corrected the link above, too.

The title of the article gets me a little ticked off, but it was a decent article.

I chuckled about how Minnesota treated him - suggesting a redshirt and encouraging him to show his love for the game.

(Me? - I would have rolled my eyes at Monson and showed him the door; I hope OB did the same)

I have said to a few people we were VERY CLOSE to still having OB at Bradley. Think about it. Bradley and Air Force had to be the last 2 teams in. Air Force had a little juice with the committee - we didn't. Maybe we were the last one in.

Say we don't go to the NCAA. I suggest we don't even get a 1 seed in the NIT. Maybe we make the Final 4, maybe not - probably don't win it.

        OB returns.

Quote in the article from OB:
"If we never made the tournament, I'd probably still be at Bradley," O'Bryant says. "That's just how it is."

Don't get me wrong. I'd take the Sweet16 run with the wins we had over the programs and their conferences (and their season accomplishments) EVERY day.

But we were close to having OB back. And then, who knows about recruiting. The players committed to Cincy and Dele St maybe want to play with OB. Maybe Les has more time to sell the Ferrari.

        Maybe.

        But...

I'll take the March glory this past season and a fine young man drafted top 10 in the NBA.

Yes - how to make a million in one game. THE game. The only one being showed to ALL of America on a quiet Sunday morning in March.

(it was supposed to be Kansas, so CBS could puke all over themselves about the great young talent and the great coach - for ALL of America forced to see and hear)

Instead, it was Bradley and OB who showed everybody you don't have to be from a BCS conference and be talented and win.
