Its simple...BU isn't a major player with connections like an OSU or a IU would have.

So? Even if that is the case, If JW and BU are OK wth "burning" this playing year, he'll be immediately on the team next year and know what D1 ball really is. (whenever he starts his "playing year" he has the 5 game penalty) so that full year next year with the summer practice may be the best thing for both parties.

For the 100th time, BU and JL have done all they can. The fact of the matter is this is a strange situation and the NCAA has never been our friend. Don't expect anything from John Wilkins this year.

Braves briefs: There’s been another snag in the John Wilkins case. The NCAA Eligibility Center has requested more information from the Bradley recruit’s Belgium high school, a source told the Journal Star. Previously, it appeared the NCAA had what it needed. This development, because of the slow governmental bureaucracy involved, is another setback in Wilkins’ quest to get enrolled at BU for the spring semester that begins Jan. 21.
