ISU shot 4 free throws. I didn't see the game but there isn't much room for us to complain about the refs last night at all.

I think that's why SS and DC played pretty hard last night... they were allowed to! That seemed to give them confidence when they weren't getting ticky-tack fouls called on them.

Your first paragraph is exactly why the count was 7 to 1. Don't get many calls when jacking up 3's all night. I think the reason Jim got the warning so early was not what was being said but that he was out of the box. It was also over who was to get the ball after the time out. It looked like bay watch was pointing in the direction BU was going thus confusing us thinking it was our ball. In watching the tape he does point that way but I think he was signaling ISU time out and pointing towards there bench. Not sure, could be wrong but thats what it looks like on the tape.
In the 7 to 1 disparity. That was easy, when a coach complained I would just tell them maybe they should quit fouling so much. Don't advise that to young officials, it doesn't get positive feed back .

I know Higgins did our game last year at BU... and I dont necessarily disagree that the game was called fair...but Sanzere and Higgins do not mix well with ISU- regardless of when/where it is being played. One or both of them had a hand in all three of our losses to Drake last year, our game out your place last year, and our NIT loss...

I do like officials that let you play. But Higgins is like Hightower- all about making sure EVERYONE in the building knows he is doing the game. Sanzere usually calls a game very tight and prevents there from being any flow at all. He did well to NOT do this last night.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say you won all of these games??? Just wondering... and giving you a hard time... but most fans like officials when they win the game...

Won the ISU games, lost the SIU if I recall correctly.

We were really complaining about the refs after our wins against MSU and WSU! I for the most part, like most fans from anywhere, like it when the refs are not even noticed. The last thing I want is to win or lose a game because the refs were terrible.
