I do not see much chance of a letdown for Bradley. Maybe if it was a tough road game I'd be concerned about that, but it doesn't happen at home often. And with Creighton being one of the MVC's elite over the last several year, Bradley always seems to play one of their better games against them at Carver.
PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley senior guard Jeremy Crouch scored a game-high 20 points and his senior backcourt running mate, Daniel Ruffin, added 16 points and nine assists, leading the host Braves (15-12, 8-7 MVC) to an 87-59 rout of Missouri Valley Conference rival Creighton (17-8, 8-7 MVC) Saturday afternoon in front of 11,335 red-clad fans at Carver Arena.? Bradley led by as many as 38 points with 3:07 remaining in the game and the final 28-point margin of victory for the Braves ended up being the second-largest in favor of? Bradley in the 74-game series history against Creighton.
I have no problem being the caretaker of the valley title....in fact I'll just go out on a limb and say we will take care of it for the rest of the season!
GO BU!!!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.
This CU fan calls Bradley "caretakers"- because they are just "a place holder at the top of the league standings" until Creighton takes their rightful place as the Gods of the MVC. Also read the rest of the posts in the thread.
I'm pretty sure there were quite a few people early last year that assumed that Drake was nothing more than "a placeholder at the top of the league standings", too.
I think it is hard for any opponent fan to understand what we are doing stat wise that makes us sucessful on the court (I'm not sure if I fully understand, either)
I think it is something along the lines of the "toughness" article in today's paper. Our team leaders got tired of playing poorly (I remember how ticked Sam M sounded after the SIUE postgame) and decided to will Bradley to victory, and the rest of the team is forced to go along.
Now we seem to be beating teams by taking on their strengths.
We've out-defended SIU, outrebounded WSU, Shot better than ISU... I guess we'll out-bench CU?

Yep. Taylor Brown scores 14 pts. in 19 minutes on saturday. That would be out-benching.
Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford
Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

I'd love to see more of Taylor, but it's rather maniacal to believe the other team thinks they can relax a little when our best player (TW) takes a rest on the bench, only to face TB!
Somebody should also tell that goof at CU that BU's D held ISU 25 points under its season average. Also the average points allowed the past 4 games has been going down a few points a game. If that trend continues, CU will only score 50 or less points. So if that goof at CU is going by averages only, maybe he should look a little closer and see what our D has really been doing.

And by the end of the season, we will be giving up single digits per game!
