Former BU player Michael Stewart was sitting behind where Jim Les usually stands. He was there with his girlfriend. I think that is causing some confusion. Danny Adams interviewed Stewart during a break in the game.

Its quite an honor to have someone like him continue to show support the way he does...it just says a lot about him as a person, about the university, and about Coach Les in opening up the program to former players.

My guess is that you won't see too many recruits at games right now, especially during the week as they have their own high school teams to practice and play for. Weekends are the best shot at getting recruits in if they don't have a game themselves which probably isn't very often.

Originally posted by Da Coach View PostHere is a picture, from the TV broadcast, of the tall kid who was directly behind the BU bench Tuesday. The one on the far left is former BU player Michael Stewart, and the one on the right is the kid we are talking about. Flash Flanagan was seated just to the right of this kid. He is definitely not John Wilkins, who I have been assured was not at the game. He appears to be an inch or two taller than Michael Stewart, so he is maybe 6'8" or 6'9".

Yes, I think it could be him, but I am not too familiar with what he looks like.
And no, IMO he wasn't the greatest player ever from Peoria Central, though I wouldn't want to get into an argument about that. Central had such great stars as AJ Guyton, Chris Reynolds, Marcellus Sommerville, Daniel Ruffin and others. I wonder what Coach Buescher would say?
And didn't he graduate before 2000?

give or take a year...Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
