Hey - what was up with the out of bounds possession coming out of a media time out like at the under 12 mark? ISU and Bradley both thought it was Bradley's ball... but they gave it to ISU. I heard Higgens say that he called "it off of White (while pointing at White and their possession/bucket) and it is Red ball (so then switching and pointing to Red's possession/bucket)". But that was AFTER the time-out was over. Coach Les didn't know it... and I don't think Jank did either.
I thought they called it ISU ball before the timeout and it was clearly off an ISU player. It seemed pretty pobvious to me.
Congrats to the team and coaching staff. Great win. Great defense, good rebounding and great hustle all night long. This team is not perfect, but is really improving in the important areas that win games. As big as this win was tonight, I think the wins on the road against WSU and MSU were even bigger. BU showed on the road the toughness to withstand a run by the home teams and gut out wins. I like the toughness of this team. The zone affected BU tonight. Need to get it fixed. Would like to see more inside out against the zone and attacking the zone inside to get fouls. Defense by Roberts was very good. Would like to see if they could improve it by keeping King O from getting the ball. Sing is playing huge minutes in his senior year. Taylor Brown will be a special player in the future I think.
I think we just got hosed there.... I did like Jank's Magic timeout/not timeout...
LOL - yea, that was a good one too. But I think he WAS yelling at his players about calling timeout if/when or something... which I think that's also the story Jank told the officials... and the Ref musta put together the chatter he heard before the "key words" and realized his own mistake.
PEORIA, Ill. ? Bradley swingmen Theron Wilson and Chris Roberts each scored 12 points and made a pair of free throws in the game's final 45 seconds, leading the Braves (10-5, 4-0 MVC) to a 56-52 victory against Interstate 74 rival Illinois State (14-1, 3-1 MVC) in front of 11,592 boisterous fans Tuesday night at Carver Arena.? Illinois State entered the game as one of the nation's four remaining undefeated teams, but the Braves took over sole possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings by turning in another stellar defensive performance.

They were good refs but they missed a few calls
That WAS a very good crew. But even good refs make mistakes. They key is to move on and overcome them. Coach Les' beef was how he was unclear who had possession. I think in this case, I can see how Higgins created confusion and in the future he is the one to change and make it clearer for all. But what's still funny... Higgins made the call right in front of the ISU bench in front of Jank and even ISU (and Jank) came out ready to play D cause they thought it was Bradley's possesion.

That was really bad. There is absolutly no question that the ball was off ISU, I just watched the replay a bit ago and the ball was clearly off ISU. There were some questionable judgements by the refs tonight (the phantom timeout by Jank w/ 2+ mins left anyone???) but loved that the let the boys play.
SIDE NOTE: While I'm typing this, the BU-ISU highlights were just on ESPN2 again. Its great to see us on ESPN for a WIN (unlike MSU last year and this, plus Florida this year).
