Hope everyone has had a chance to read Kirk Wesslers article in todays PJS about all the injury's and surgeries Sam Singh has had to endure since
becoming a brave. I believe this is the second article the PJS has done on this young man. Kirk did a great job with his, today. Sometimes we as fans either don't know or we tend to forget what some of these players go through with injury's. Sam just happens to be one that stands out more than most because of all the serious injury's to him during his career at BU. Most of those injury's would of ended other players careers but Sam is still out there playing for a school that must mean so much to him. His story would make a great show for ESPN to cover. Not only has he over came and fought through all the injury's, surgery's but also the weight issue and how this year he lost another 20 some lbs to better his play for the team. Over looked as being one of the captains this year, he has stayed focused and is showing good leadership for the young guys.
Sam is not a great player but you will not find a more or better team player than him playing college basketball today and we are all very lucky to have him at BU. He is laying it all out there
Sam's numbers the last two games he played (not counting the injury in the Semo game)
Butler (22 mins) and SIU (19 mins) Total (41 mins)
FG 2-5, 3-5 = 5-10
FT 4-7, 2-2 = 6-9
------------(16 TP)
RBs (o-d) (o-d) (o-d)
-----3-4 , 1-5 , 4-9 = 13
PF 1, 2 =3
A 1, 0 =1
TO 2, 2 =4
BLK 1, 2 =3
S 2, 5 =7
Add the Semo Nose game in 6 mins, 1 RB, 2 A's, and 2 S's
Not bad from a guy as KW said who could run a medical supply store out of his closet.
