  • No time for small play

Its money time With SS back, AT gotten some playing time, its time to play 2 bigs at a time and move TW to the 3. Get the ball inside and thighen up the line up to 8-9 players. From playing small so far theres just no way to see a MVC title this year. JL needs to make the change starting to day If not kiss this one over
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

Good luck with that as long as Coach Les is at the helm. AT's time will only diminish and we will continue to play 3 guys under 6 feet tall. Not to blame Les entirely because we are a little "short" on big players anyway. However, if he continues to play "small ball" when we get next year's recruits in, my season tickets are up for sale. I'm entirely sick of his propensity to play small players. If I want to see "small ball" I will go watch a HS game like Tremont vs. Brimfield.

        Not gonna happen.
We are what we are at this point.
We are going to play 4 guys around the perimeter and 1 'big'...that is Les's system, and we aren't going to change it midway into a season.
Theron would NOT be a good 3 either. His ball handling is not up to the level it would need to be to play significant minutes in that spot in Les's offense.

I think we need to, at least, start Dodie on Mullins. I have the feeling our shorterguards would let him get too hot.

I have to agree with ER3 here. I understand the desire for some to play 2 bigs at a time, but Theron is not capable of playing the 3. He is not a good ballhandler and really does his best work near the basket. I'm hoping though that with the new recruits in next year, we will play 2 bigs normally.

I mentioned before it didn't make much difference who plays...only how they play

Agreed, and it's always been the case. Today, Bradley's "midgets" were the better players on the floor.

We, at least, started 6-4 Roberts instead of DN. We won and we did not start (3) 6' or less guards.

You got that right ph And what a job CR did and SS. SM played his best game this year. We gained a little bit bigger and more physical with CR starting. DC played OK but it was SS game. TW is just all heart.
The Bigs came to play today Great Job By All
Midgets If I or anyone else would of used this, we would of been out of here

That term (midget) has indeed already been used on this site many times by posters referring to Bradley's guards. It has never been censored, as far as I know.

Midget is not very politically correct and I'm sure all the small people will be protesting this site real soon!

I can't recall seeing it used before. But if you said so, then it has. But not by me Just because I want to go Big doe's not mean I don't think we cannot use a small line up at the right times. But if we want to win the MVC we will have to have our bigs (SS,DC,TW, & CR) show up as they did today.

We're inching ever so close to playing with a traditional 'bigger' lineup. I think today's results speak for themselves. We have the personnel to play big and be very successful. Also, playing 'big' takes a lot of pressure off of our guards. Our frontcourt is experienced, our backcourt is younger. Makes sense to ride the experience.
