Potential SIU player is Chicago's 500th homicide

I'm not sure of the true intentions of following thru in playing for SIU but it says he was preparing to move to SIU to get prepared for a pro career in Europe. Kermit Dalishment is his name and is Chicago's 500th homicide this yr. The most in 5 years. CPD says the shooting appears gang related but i'm not going to judge his character without further info.

That is astounding....500...and many are young men with their whole lives ahead of them....
It says he played at Julian HS in 2004, thus he'd have been a teammate of Mac Koshwal and Thijin Moses.
