I honestly hope you are the only person who is enjoying a win tonight in the fashion Bradley played against the opponent they played.

I dont think anyone is miserable, I think most simply see all kinds of areas that this Bradley team lacks specifically defense.. whether that is on the ball, interior, blocking out on rebounds, or shooting the ball whether that is from the free throw line, the 3 pt line or from the floor in general. Actually there are very few areas Bradley is very good in right now, infact there has been a very alarming backwards trend with this team.

How anyone can anyone be satisfied with winning a home game versus a transitional D1 school who was playing on a back to back night after losing the first game to Loyola by 24? I hope beyond hope our players and coaching staff are not even remotely close to any satisfaction or enjoying this win.

Everybody has different expectations, I accept that. My expectations are more than what I would call mediocrity.

BU is a few days from starting the conference. Do you feel good about the chances of winning many games?

Strangely, this game didn't make me feel anywhere near as bad as UWM, though it didn't make me feel good like a win should. Part of that is probably that we won, and another part was even though it got kinda close I never felt like SIUE would beat us.

My expectation is that in most years we're challeneging for an MVC crown and threatening for an at-large bid in the NCAA. Those things don't seem to be the case for this season, so maybe I've just numbed up a bit. We'll see what happens on Sunday... I've given up trying to understand how this team might play, having seen a disgusting loss in person in Milwaukee and also seen us look very good against Florida.

Why was he averaging under 8 points per game before last night?
I'll bet he goes back to averaging single figures the rest of the year. I don't know the reason, but last night continues the trend of one opposing player always having a career night when they play Bradley.

SIUE also took a 3 point shot fairly late in the game which would have tied it had it gone in.

It's late and I've had a few root beers out at Old Chicago. 'R' Happy? Saw the Egolf clan out there along with Chuck and Eric. OC is quite the hopping post game spot. Even the elusive srw was in the house. We may be seeing more of him and that other Bradley hater uptempostyle. Them and their hate. hate hate hate.

There are a few teams I dislike, and I can even enjoy when they lose...
but I would never pay to see them play nor would I go onto their message board and rip into them, their coaches, and their fans.

Supporting a team can also involve being "realistic" and getting the big picture you know...

We can't all be blind to deficiencies...especially when there are so many...

Ok, repeat after me: We did good things last night. We did bad things last night. It's OK to be very disappointed in the team as long as you acknowledge we won and did some good things. It's OK to be very pleased at the result of the game while acknowledging there are areas we can improve on.


Some of you act like there's only 2 possible outcomes for a game (other than win or loss)

a) Terrific performance. Outstanding.

b) Terrible performance. Disgusting.

I'll use a hypothetical to explain what I see on this board and how people are grouped into pro and anti BU people. And please folks, don't read more into this than what it is, a very broad hypothetical.

Your teenage son drives home drunk. When he gets home you say "good job son, you made it home." You unconditionally love your son and support everything he does.

One this board parent #1 is the good parent and parent #2 is the bad parent.
