Charlie Coley's production...or lack thereof...is a surprise to me. If I recall, he was the "must-have" JUCO recruit a couple years ago, then he ended up committing to Charlotte and we ended up getting Theron Wilson a few weeks later. Frankly, I wanted Charlie simply because I was more comfortable with a 6'7 PF than a 6'5 PF. I was disappointed at the time, but now I would take Theron over Charlie in a heartbeat!

One kid who would have definitely benefited from coming to BU rather than a BCS school is LA Pomlee (from the Quad Cities I believe). He is stuck behind 6 to 7 other players in the frontcourt at Iowa St and had to redshirt. He doesn't have a strong body, but according to those on the inside at Iowa St is a good finisher around the basket. On the other hand, by losing out on Pomlee, we ended up having a scholarship open for either JP or MK for next year, which I think is a good trade off, based on what we've heard so far this year about those two.

I agree, Pomlee would be getting good minutes behind David Collins right now.
But had we gone for Pomlee we'd have had to pass on Brown or Wilkins.

This is where I say I only want the players that actually want to be here....Also, I see most of these guys and think if I were in their shoes, I'd rather get LOTS of playing time all 4 years and have a chance to be a star like Step Curry at Davidson, than be a role player and only play the last couple years at a Major...

It just makes more sense that way...and if you're worried about exposure...Curry proved that if you have game, you can take your university to high places and get that exposure...

        BTW...how is Austin doing?

Pettigrew would have been a nice player to have.

Ryne Smith and especially Zack Novak are two guys who would have really helped us with our perimeter shooting this year.

I left those guys out, as none of them was leaning all that much towards Bradley, especially after they got the BCS offers....
Looks like only Novak is proving he'd have helped this year...his stats are similar to Roth's

Kyle Kuric (freshman, Louisville) injured knee in preseason game, but has started playing again.
              .....5 games, 1 start, 8.4 minutes per game, 3.2 ppg, 4-7 on 3-pointers
Ryne Smith (freshman, Purdue) 6 games, no starts, 10 minutes per game, 1.8 ppg, 4-16 overall, 3-12 on 3-pointers
Zach Novak (freshman, Michigan) 10 games, no starts, 20.4 minutes per game, 6.2 ppg, 14-34 (.412) on 3-pointers.

Is Fears a senior this year?

Fears would have been a senior if he had stayed at South Carolina-Aiken.
But he quit the team and last I heard, is playing pro ball with a team in the Austrian Bundesliga, the top pro league in Austria.

We all knew that Fears had the potential to be a very good player, I think you have to be very careful when you take on transfer players because most of them have big ego"s.

You forgot to capitalize BIG and EGOS.

Iman Shumpert is going to be a STUD! He reminds me of Penny Hardaway.

And didn't Bradley recruit Wake's leading POY candidate Jeff Teague? I can't imagine how good we'd have been with either of these two guys, or Wake's Johnson.

I still like Pettigrew the most out of these very good players, that makes it 2 players that we lost out on that went to W.Kentucky.
