We are kinda in the same boat with Hill as you guys seem to be with Warren. Except Hill is probably not one of our top 3 players. I think he has the potential to be, but it would be hard for him to outplay any of the starting 5 at this point... There is some talk about redshirting Hill, like there is Warren over here. I think ISU has a real shot at winning the MVC this year, and I think it would be a shame to fall short of that, just to keep a players eligibility...
tough decisions for these coaches and players to make... that is for sure
Is it just that I'm recognizing this trend for the first time that Freshmen are leaving programs a lot sooner for personal reasons then ever before. I was homesick my 1st semester at Bradley, the GF left behind, the cold weather, being a freshman and dorm food but I would never have just packed it up and left. These guys even have a better network for them to adjust then the average student. I'm not that old, at least that is what I tell myself, but is this a generational thing? Is it harder for this generation to leave the roost and their HS friends. I know this generation did not have a stay at home parent and were more dependent on their peers but anyway......Just wondering..
