Attendance Wednesday was 9,366.
Sunday will be a little less, considering the early start time, church, competetion with NFL football, and the opposition. I'd guess 8,500

I think the fact the the Bears played Thurs night the attendance wasn't really that bad I say a few more than coaches guess but I'm about as good at crowd estimations as Ron Santo.

Some people like to use those reasons to explain why their undefeated team doesn't even get 6,000 people to show up to the games. It was good to see us have 9,000 under such circumstances!

There were a few more no-shows than usual among the season ticket holders. But less than I expected. And the crowd was pretty vocal at times.

Great turnout by the students. I didn't think they got out of bed before 1:00 on Sundays!

As a student, I thought the turnout was bad. The less popular side was almost empty, and only the first few rows of the main side were actually packed. I could be wrong. Theron Wilson's dunks really got everyone going, though.

I agree. I didn't think it was a "great turnout by the students" at all.

Are finals over? I remeber I took a b-line out of Peoria during winter breaks as soon as I could, but then again I was heading somewhere warm with beaches.

If it's the same as when I was there, their Finals started Thurs thru Saturday then finish Mon thru Wed. Many of my friends would try to front load their finals and get done ASAP.

Sunday being a "study day" (or recovery day from Saturday Steam blown), many done and gone, I think it was a decent turn out today.

FWIW I was pretty disappointed in the student turnout, from what I saw section 6 was fairly empty and the back half of section 8 took a while to fill in.

Study for finals or go to a basketball game.....hmmm...seems pretty obvious to me

I personally thought the student section looked to be extremely empty.

On a positive note, we still had 4,000 more than they had down the road.
