    I have heard this done before and know it was done when Cassel became QB for New England...


    If the players aren't executing our entire set and playbook correctly, why not just simplify and cut the playbook in half...


    Take a few less plays and try to just perfect those plays...


    Plays that are run to perfection are hard to stop no matter who you're playing...


    Just look at our beginning of the game play...that works 95% of the time.

    I am not disagreeing with you about simplifying the plays, but regarding the alley-oop dunk to start the game, it only worked 50% of the time last night.
    They tried it a second time late in the first half coming out of a timeout and Butler was in their zone defense. The cutter (Roberts) was met by the defender who backed him down toward the baseline, and the passer recognized it, and aborted the play.
    That kind of play usually only works the first time it's tried.
