With out even looking at the records I'm sure Morgan State is a decent team but DePaul losing to them at home should not happen.
DePaul is a lot like St John, when you are winning what a town to play in but when your not there just is not a lot of loyal followers. DePaul IMO will have to take a chance on a new up and coming coach with a lot of energy to recruit. Wainright is gone! We will need to take advantage of this opportunity and recruit a few kids from Chicago the next few years.
I have no idea who will be attracted to this job, Big East and all. It will be very tough to get this program to the upper 1/2 of their conference. They almost need a Rick Pitino like guy to get them back. Besides being in Chicago and a rich tradition in the 70-80s who is going to take that chance. I'm racking my brain on who would be an ideal fit."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

I knew it wouldn't take more than five minutes for the DePaul bashing to commence, yet again.
But, considering that I actually watch DePaul up here, as opposed to most who just want to find every single time they falter through box scores, I'll tell it how it really is.
Wainwright (if you're going to criticize, at least spell the man's name right) is a good recruiter. He's brought in some talented players (Dar Tucker, Mac Koshwal, etc.). The problem is, he's a lousy in-game/practice coach. He doesn't get his players to play team basketball and it's all NBA one-on-one nonsense.
He's also very likable and is a great interview. He's a loyal guy that would stick with the program for a long time if given the chance. I'm not sure he's going to get that chance, but there's no need to bash on him/the team every single time they fail.
If we're trying to be a pro-Bradley board, then let's do that. Let's not have this become the anti-Depaul, Illinois State, SIU and any other school that makes mistakes/loses/etc. board.
It's like there's some kind of happiness that some get by watching others fail. Bradley's got PLENTY it needs to fix that we don't need to keep harping on the failures of others.Go Braves!

Bubraves2006 I did not see one bashing of DePaul except to state the obvious that Wainwright is more then likely done after this season. I'd say there could be a lot more bashing. If anything you pointed out his faults not us. WOW!!!!! Anyway SENSITIVE aren't we. I'm a U of Md. fan and if I took everything to heart from this board I'd be pretty pissed off. Sim Sim Simmer down!"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

I can tell you a bunch that would very likely be interested in the post:
Tony Bennett-Washington State
Randy Bennett-St. Mary's
Gregg Marshall-Wichita State
John Giannini-LaSalle
Tim Jankovich-Illinois State
Rick Majerus-St. Louis
Doc Sadler-Nebraska
Joe Mihalich-Niagara
Ron Hunter-IUPUI
Joe O'Brien-Idaho State
Giannini was a grad assistant for the 1989 Illini. Majerus was interested the last time around. The Brothers Bennett would leave their respective schools for the right opportunity.

Plus DePaul will be adding a sharpshooter in Mario Stula this weekend against UCLA.

DePaul was moving in the right direction under Dave Leitao, Wainwright couldn't keep the momentum going. I really place the blame solely on him, he's brought some good payers in, but hasn't been able to do anything with them. I used to have season tickets, but after Wilson Chandler and Sammy Meijia left, and the quality of non conference opponent seemed to taper off, I got rid of them. A new coach and I might get them back.

You are right
Well I have to admit you have me pegged. All I said was how can he make it the entire season. I have not seen them play this year, just like you said. I know if I rooted for Depaul I would be annoyed if people ripped them also. I understand.
I can't hide the fact that I think he is one of the most underachieving coaches I know though. They always have a couple terrible losses each year and can't compete in their conference. It was fun to watch Depaul when they were good. It was a good rivalry.
I just think he recruits pretty well and does nothing with it. Dar Tucker is tough. They have some good players. That is about it.
