Post game remarks are true as we have no go to guy, defense is bad when you allow a visitor to come in and score that many points, poor freethrow shooting once again, starting center had 0 points , changes need to be made as I believe a lot of us have said that you can"t live and die off the 3 point shot when your team does not have enough consistent 3 point shooters, the Warren and Egolf injuries have hurt this teams chances to win a lot more then most of us realize and we know that Will is done for the season and it is starting to look like Andrew may not be back either.

Can we stop playing zone vs a three point shooting team please???? I realize when we played man they hit some threes too but it seemed to be worse when we played zone.Comment

What changes can you make that he hasn't already tried? The inside game is non-existent, and at times tonight BU had three players on the court who were 6 foot or less. Butler is a good team, very well coached with good shooters. But BU shot poorly from the field and from the FT line again, and defended poorly. Butler's shooters were wide open a lot of the time.
The teams who were originally picked lower in the Valley are going to be better than first thought (MSU, UE especially). It will be very tough for this team to stay out of the Thursday games come MVC tourney time.Comment

Too much dribbling is going on and he is the main culprit....pass the ball every once in awhile....you will get it back, trust me!
And why is it that "he" gets to miss weeks of practice and still gets his PT...sounds like a little bit of favoritism....
Either way, we played better tonight when him, Theron, and Collins were on the bench....
At a key point in the 2nd half down the stretch, they were brought in and a 5 point deficit quickly went up to 15...

Honestly - I would not be the least bit surprised if the line-up that finished tonight's game started the next game. They were at least getting after it and playing hard.Comment

Yeah well......it's also the second time this season that we've lost two straight games and that was one of the team's goals coming in. I think that one issue we have is that we are not defending the 3 point shot well. They shot really well, give Butler credit and all, but I think if we defended the 3 better they would not have hit such a high %Return to GloryComment

We lost by 12, but it felt more like 30. I never felt like we belonged in that game at all, even when we cut it to 6.
This team is sorely lacking in fundamentals and basketball IQ.
-Free throws. They should be shooting free throws in practice until their arms fall off, because giving away points at the line is inexcusable.
-Defense. It was an absolute sieve. Unlike us, Butler can actually make three's consistently when they are wide open, and we didn't contest shots well enough.
-Offense. Our offensive sets (I use that term loosely) seemed to devolve into playground ball waaaaaay too often. I was pumped after the alley-oop at the start but after that it seemed like there was very little flow to the offense. Maybe that's just because of the number of new players, but it seems like things should be coming along better after eight games.
-DC is a lost cause. When he came in in the second half, it mostly looked like he was running into Sam M every possession on D. AT can't be any worse, can he?
I think it's about time to seriously consider redshirting AW.Comment
