From the radio broadast, there was more crowd cheers after Bradley baskets, than after Illinois baskets. It sounded like there were more Bradley fans, or at least that with them leading big, they were louder.
Considering there were 12,139 Illinois fans there for the men's game that preceeded the women's game, there must not have been many Illini fans that stayed. The attendance for the women's game was listed as 2,376. I wonder how they figure that, since the tickets sold were for both games?
Paula has done a fine job, so far. I hope they can keep improving. All of a sudden, her team does everything well. This team shoots well, rebounds well, defends well, passes well, and is more athletic than any of Bradley women's team in past years. She is getting great contributions from freshmen, as well as the regulars. And all the players are great kids and good students. Way to go ladies!

BU women are #1 in the MVC, and #57 in the country.
Bradley scored the first 11 points of the game and never looked back as the Braves led by double digits most of the game en route to a 71-53 victory against Illinois in non-conference women's basketball action Saturday at the United Center. Sophomore Sonya Harris (Riverdale, Ill./Thornton) scored a career and game high 18 points to lead the Braves.
I wonder how the attendance was. The Men's game was before this game... you know, kinda like JV first then the Varsity after.
I know how spectators are treated in C/U. Ushers will NOT let people move closer to the floor... closer to the Bradley bench cause season ticket holders for the men's games get to go to the women's games and they say the season ticket holder's don't like it when people sit in their seats... even if they won't be there... even if it is in the 2nd 1/2.
So I wonder if the ushers at the United Center followed suit.
Could you just see being a Bradley fan... sit thru the JV game... then time for the Varsity game... most of the fans leave cause they only came for the JV game... so you move down to be closer to the action and the Bradley bench only to be sent away cause the fans that left don't want you in their seats? LOL!
MMob, I know you say things to stir people up, as a Moderator I don't why you think it's necessary, but to say the fans who left don't want you in their seats borders on the ridiculous. Calling the Illinois-Georgia game a JV game is the same.

My dad went to the UIUC/Bradley game in C/U a couple years back. This was the game Bradley won on the road and Genny Mueller lit 'em up. Not many people there. He took 2 grandsons to the game. After the 2nd 1/2 started, he took the 2 little ones down closer for the 2nd 1/2 not far from the Bradley bench. Plenty of rows behind them - but much closer than where they had been sitting. And there was absolutely nobody around them in the section. Suddenly 2-3 ushers came down and surrounded them demanding ticket-proof for seats. After casual conversation about what the big beef was - he was told UIUC Men Season Ticket Holder's get ticked off finding out anyone sits in their seats - even if they aren't attending and their is tons of room. So off they were sent - back up and away... as Bradley defeated UIUC on their home floor.
And stop thinking of me as a moderator as if I should sensor what I have to say. (cause actually I do sensor myself more - and if you think this is bad... then maybe I need to be dropped as a Moderator and give you the full throttle of the MacabreMob).
And if calling the 1st game JV and the 2nd Varsity got you or anyone else riled up - then you guys need to seek out anger-management classes to control your enflamed inner-egos.

This game wasn't played in C/U. It was played at the United Center in Chicago, so I doubt your senario would have happened there.
