I thought this article was a little harsh, what do you guys think?http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...yhoo&type=lgns

Edit: Sorry guys, I reposted this in the BCS thread in the general discussion forum, I started this thread before I realized that one was up.

The guy who wrote this is an *****. Ball St is absolutely 100% correct in what they did. If they're clamoring for respect, why would they agree to play a road bowl game against another mid-major in a location where none of their fans can go? The Humanitarian Bowl is about as bottom of the barrel as you get when it comes to bowl games. What a moron.

That writer said this about Ball State-
....the best season in Ball State??™s history will always be marked with an asterisk. As fondly as they??™ll remember the games the Cardinals played, fans will also lament the one they didn??™t.

He failed to mention that even if they did accept the invitation to play in the lowly Humanitarian Bowl, and they managed to beat Boise State at Boise State, their season would still be remembered by very few, and would still need an asterisk to denote the meaningless honor of being the team with the best record that didn't get to play in a BCS bowl.

So true. Who watches the Humanitarian Bowl? No one! This BCS football idi-t wants Boise St and Ball St to go away, just like the BCS basketball idi-ts want the mid-majors to go away their unwatched NIT or CBI, or by pitting them against each other in the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. How this guy got a job writing with this stupidity is beyond me. I guess it doesn't take much these days.
