The MVC seems to really be down this year. The only teams that our conference seems to be able to beat are ones like Lincoln University (Missouri) and teams ISU has scheduled. This could be good or bad (mostly bad), but seeing what other MVC schools are doing non-conference gives me hope BU could maybe win this league! Who knows...

That seems like a very astute assessment of the MVC this year.
But ironically, the MVC is currently sitting at the #9 spot in conference RPI-

and note that they are only the tiniest of margins behind the #8 conference (Mountain West) and the #7 conference (Pac-10).
If the MVC can pull off some wins in the next couple weeks against some better teams, they could easily jump to #7, which is as good or better than they have finished the last couple years.

George you are right on, it will be an interesting if not challenging year for the valley. I have been keeping my eye on a couple of teams though. WS returns Ramon the rebounding machine Clemente (he had 10 last night vs TT), and boasts 5 other players on their roster 6'7" or taller. They have played a respectable schedule and could be ready when the valley season opens. The other team is arch rival ISU, they haven't played anyone but they have not been challenged either. O and Champ will pose matchup problems for everyone, they are strong and fairly deep. I don't know what to think of MS and NIU yet but they are much better than I had originally predicted.

I watched most of the Tech WSU game last night. If WSU doesnt play like a bunch of chumps in the first half they would have went ahead and won that game. Tech is a middle of the road Big 12 team but a road win would have been nice for WSU.
At one time I thought Indy State would be the surprise team... they are but because they are really not good, but it really appears WSU and Missouri State will be competitive if not solid. WSU could be very difficult because of their good schedule they have played and they have been pretty competitive, so far.
They get BU CU and SIU in 3 of their first 4 Valley games, and CU twice in their first 7 valley games. I guess we will see real early about WSU.

There are no dominating teams in the valley right now; however it will not be easy to win because of the parity from top to bottom, in order to win the conference a team needs to win all of their home games and win at least 4 on the road, 14-4 probably wins the valley title. Best chances at winning on the road: Ind. St., Evansville, UNI, Wichita ST., Missouri St, Drake, the other 3 places will be very diffucult this season.

But, though that's a pretty good number, he only ranks #42 in the NCAA in rebounding. The leading rebounder is Blake Griffin of Oklahoma State with 19.2 rpg--

MSU was without Suton for that one too and out rebounded WSU 42-24.

An article about the MVC from the beat writer for the Missouri State Bears
He ranks Bradley 8th in the MVC, behind ISU, SIU, CU, Drake, WSU, MSU, and Evansville. But I doubt he has actually seen many of the teams.
