From what I have seen of JP, this is a good comparison. Jordan has extremely well developed skills, and a good sense for where he should be on the court. He will be a good scorer and rebounder at the D1 level.

I think he prefers to stay primarily in the paint, and that's where his strong lower body comes in. I think that JP has developed a little mid-range game out of necessity at the high school level. Anyone who watched Eureka play could see JP doesn't have a whole lot of help, and JP is facing double and triple teams even when he doesn't have the ball sometimes, so he has to leak out on the floor a little more to get some open looks. I'd love to see what he could do on the block when a team would be forced to play him straight up, or at least more honest than constant double and triple teams.

I mentioned his ability to step out and hit a 12-15 foot jumper because usually all freshman have strength issues when they first play division 1, especially post players. I think JP's all around basketball skills will allow him to contribute as a freshman until his physical skills catch up at this level.
JP is a real deal I think he will grow another inch or maybe more. He will get stronger over the summer and not doubt be a player for BU next year, as BB said. He may just be as good or better than a couple players that have been here for 2 years and thats not a knock on anyone but a personal view of how good I think this kid is. As for him being double and triple teamed that can only help his game. The more hands and body's on him will force him to make moves and find ways to better improve his game. As for his outside shooting, MS had and could hit long range and man the paint too. By JL and the coach's wanting him to develop a deeper shot will just give them the opportunity of playing him at the 4 or 5. Nothing wrong with that.
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

I've never seen Jordan play, but hasn't he played on AAU teams against other top talent?

Yes, which is part of what made BU offer him as a freshman and why bigger schools offered him as well. He's played against as good or better competition than Carlton Fay had at this point, and had more BCS offers. Both came from small schools, and both have big-time talent.

A 6"8" player who can post up and shoot from outside....I see no problem with this. I think if the BU staff want JP to develop an outside game, it is with a plan.

He won't be shooting from the outside. Book it.

Can you imagine the inside out game that JP and JW can play if JP develops a 3? That would be sick! There would be NO way that a team could double up our guys inside without paying for it. If they do I can see TB slicing in the middle for the pass and slamming it home or DN hitting the wide open3 from the other side. SIC!!!!!

If you meant "if JP develops a 3", then I doubt that will happen. JP is playing exclusively the 5 position in high school, and played some 4 in AAU. I doubt we will ever see him play much 3 at Bradley, if at all.
On the other hand, Wilkins, who has guard-like ball handling abilities, will make an effective 3 at some point.

I think the most similar player right now in the MVC is UNI's Adam Koch (junior)...
Koch starts and makes an impact and has a considerable "upside".
Personally I think JP is further along than Koch was when he arrived as a freshman, and yet even then, as a freshman, Koch played 31 games and avg. 3 ppg., then Koch started every game as a soph and junior so far.

They even look a lot alike

OK develop a 3 point shot is what I meant or at least a great mid-range shot

Ok, I see what you said. I thought you meant develop into a 3 position player.
I actually think JP will become a decent outside shooter.

Brody Deren of Creighton is also a good comparison in both size, strength, and game. Deren was 6'8" 250, was a force in the paint, and thrived in CU's perimeter-based system. Deren had Big 10 offers out of high school, and started at Northwestern before transferring to CU. I think Prosser's size and game is similar to Deren's, but I think JP's ceiling is significantly higher.

He will be able to contribute early.....with a nice mix of inside and otside game..he will be able to draw the big guys out away from the basket to open up the lane for our drives to the hoop....I see him as a real power forward..with an outside shot....

Is he as big as Harstad? I have been waiting a long time for BU to get that type of a big player that would fill up the 4 spot. Harstad could do about everything except bring the ball up the floor, and people just bounced off of him. Big, strong, athletic & could shoot and mostly played the 4 spot. I would like to see BU get a center that was as good as the one Harstad had playing with him during those years. Anyone remember him???
