  • Comcast and ESPNU

I was looking at the valley TV schedule for the rest of the year. I saw 9 more games involving valley teams this year including BU and SIU in Carbondale. I contacted Comcast and first thanked them for the production and broadcast of BU basketball and indicated I really miss ESPNU. Thought some other Peoria cable subscribers might want to do the same.

      Good luck doing that...

      It won't change anything.

Highly doubt Comcast will add ESPNU. They just removed CSpan and the Soaps channel from regular cable and put them on the Comcast digital package LOL. Like that is going to earn them more money. What a smart move that was. All the soccer moms and old grannies are peeved right now.

That is exactly what bothers me about cable companies...

How do you explain eliminating coverage BUT then you somehow justify raising the rates as I'm sure they will most likely be doing in the new year...

          I know Charter is...

          Thank god for satellite tv.

Or pray for fiber optics to finally come around your area. Verizon and AT&T are starting to offer their own television service through fiber-optics with satellite-like coverage.

Verizon already has Fiber Optics here in Peoria called Verizon FiOs that has broadband internet for $30 a month. Don't know if it has TV on it yet though.

Comcast gave me an e-mail and a phone message saying they will take my request into consideration. Might be lip service but I am impressed with the customer service.

Yes, I would expect nothing less, but then your email will get deleted and the paper copy will end up in the shredder...
