What?? If AW comes back as AW or conditions his way back into AW he is going to play over CR easy...CR is valuable but AW is our most experienced and talented shooter...no way does CR at his best out play AW at his

bottom line...AW's better is better than CR's better

No. In a similiar way to post UMKC, we're now waiting for the line, "AT's been showing a lot of improvement in practice"

A healthy AW is the most talented Brave we have with NBA potential. CR is playing great, but can you imagine bringing him off the bench with TB! We really have a nice rotation with the 2-3 position and will be a lot sweeter once AW returns.

We don't have a player on our roster with NBA potential.

It is going to take AW a while to get back into things....I so not see him getting big minutes for a long time...and thats when he does come back!

Redshirt AW and Wilkins (if he comes). Both will be out of shape for quite a while and it may be wasting a year of their eligibilty for them to try to squeeze in this year by the time either one of them is in game condition mentally and physically. Hate to sound like a Cub fan, but maybe waiting for next year might be better especially now that Egolf is out.

GTD, to be honest, I think that one of the main reasons Wilkins is coming here is that he would not have to redshirt.jmho

The only way Wilkins doesn't play this year is if he doesn't get through the NCAA clearing house. THE REASON HE VERBALLED TO BRADLEY IS BECAUSE OUR COACHING STAFF SAID THEY WOULD PLAY HIM THIS YEAR. I'd be in favor of redshirting Andrew though if he can't play through January. It really wouldn't be worth it for him to use a year of eligibility only to play for a little over a month, and probably not at full strength.

Neither Wilkens or Warren will be redshirted; Wilkens committed to BU because he was told that he could play ; I expect Warren to be playing by the Butler game which should get him in shape before the SIU game , 2 good weeks of practice should have Wilkens in shape by Jan 1 . The loss of Egolf hurt but if we can get Warren and Wilkens ready by the start of the conference season we should be in good shape.

I just realized that if WE is redshirted and if JW becomes eligible second semester and plays, then in 3 years, our senior class will be EM, DN, TB, JW, WE, AT. That is going to be quite a handful but its also going to be really difficult to replace the next year.
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

I don't know if 2 weeks of practice is going to be good enough for Wilkins, I hope he is great but last year Austin missed the summer and was never able to catch up. I have no idea who the two players stack up and from what everyone is saying Wilkins is a phenomenal basketball player and we are thin this year, but it could be tough for Wilkins to get in shape and learn our style of play all in 2 weeks.

Austin was over-weight and thus more out of shape, Wilkens is not fat so it should be easier to get him into shape.

I didn't realize Rashad was fat, but then again I also didn't realize that Cole-Scott used up all his points in the exhibition....

Collins seems to be channelling Cole-Scott this year

I agree. He may get into shape... but learn the system and get his basketball head on again, and compete & contribute in D1 all within a couple of weeks? He must be close to NBA quality already if he can do that. Most of you guys know more about that than I do and I hope you are right.

We will see if and when Warren can play. Those stress fractures can linger on and on... as some of you who didn't believe me a couple months ago are now finding out. I was hoping I would be wrong in this case, but the history of this type of injury has repeated itself again for another basketball player. I just hope it does not become a wasted year for AW.

                              Have a fun day! GTD

BradleyBrave that is your opinion. IMHO AW has NBA potential. As a matter of fact I'd say TB has the potential to play at the next level. Again the word is potential. AW would have had a great Sophmore year if not for the hand. Who knows what his Jr. year will look like.
