These guys are under sized, strength and weight to handle a 5 appropriately and we would be putting undo stress physically on them. JL will not play TB at the 5 or for that matter TW. We will see SS and DC and hopefully AT will be able to contribute in the near future. I would be more then shock if someone other then one of our bigs start.

Just take a look around...
Who plays the 4 for Creighton? I guess it is Justin Carter...He's 6'4" 200 lbs.
Who plays the 4 for Evansville? Nate Garner, I suppose...He's 6'5" 220 lbs.
Who starts as the 4 for Illinois State? Champ Oguchi, I guess...He's 6'6" 198 lbs., but he plays nowhere near the post...as they basically start 4 guards and a forward every night...
Who starts as the 4 for Missouri State? Weems or Cooks, I guess...They are 6'4" 210 lbs. and 6'6" 210lbs., respectively...
Wichita State has Ramon Clemente at the 4. He's 6'6" 230 lbs.
The only schools in the conference that play someone at the 4 that is a couple inches taller than Theron or Taylor Brown are the following:
UNI has Adam Koch at the 4...He's 6'8" 245 lbs.
SIU has Carlton Fay at the 4...He's 6'8" 235 lbs...although he spends a lot of time out on the perimeter...
Indiana State has Jay Tunnell at the 4...he's 6'8" 255 lbs.
Drake has Bucky Cox at the 4...He's 6'8" 225 lbs...but he plays out on the perimeter in their offense quite a bit.

JK I agree with you and share your frustration with him and his play but I still think he can be of some help to this team.
Glad to hear AT is gonna get some PT now....just wish it wasn't at the expense of Will being out for the season

Call me crazy, but at this point in time I view WE's loss as a bigger one than AW. We have enough capable guards and swing players who've shown they're more than capable of picking up the slack (back to back 80 point performances). WE was the first capable post player on both ends we've had since Zach Andrews, and arguably since POB. I would like to believe that the combination of DC/SS/AT can/will keep defenses honest and be able to defend the post, but I am not overly optimistic at this point.Onward and Upward!

I have no confidence in DC on defense as he plays and moves like he is in quicksand , I know he can score points but he gives up a lot more points then he gets and does not give us any help-side defense around the basket because of his slow reactions.

Dog house or not it may have been that he was way down in the depth chart. JL seems to only go 2 deep at the 5 and with SS playing formidable minutes and WE doing his thing, DC became the man out."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Just my humble opinion......Will had improved greatly in the offseason....he was to be the opening starter till something happened to change it.......after sitting out he was allowed to prove himself and did fine...DC was Will's replacement till he was ready to play and now will be his replacement and will do just fine with SS and AT getting a few more minutes...
all will be fine......Peoria Toyota Scion

To bad Will went down. Now it looks like this is going to be our weakest position by far. I predict SS will get 20-25minutes provided he doesn't get into foul trrouble. Sam has been real good this year and was going to get 15-20 minutes if WE stayed healthy. The other 15-20 minutes will be split between DC and AT. I suspect DC will get next crack and if he struggles we go to AT. If AT struggles we will be in trouble. Les may move TW over to the 5 position for short periods of time against certian teams. On average I bet SS gets 22 minutes, DC 11 and AT 7.
This will be our week spot for sure but lets hope AT grows into the job and starts demanding more minutes like Will did. We get AW back and we are going to be hard to beat even with the problem at the 5 slot.
Go Braves!

Theres 15 fouls there to give, guard the **** lane, put them on their butts with good clean fouls and they will think twice maybe before their try again.
