I agree with the assessment on AT...he needs to get used to playing in front of a large crowd...get the nerves out of the way...it looks like now he will have to do that in front of a large hostile environment of Michigan State!

Yeah....not exactly the time to "get the nerves out". I think a 20-point lead at home would have been the ideal situation. If not......then when?

Just got done watching the game via bradleybraves.com. God, it was a shame about Egolf. I hope we hear good news for him today or tomorrow.

I like that Eddren McCain was shooting with more confidence. Looking good now as the back-up point guard to Sam Maniscalco.

Did anyone else notice that Jim Les played a bit more zone defense last night than in earlier games. It's great to see the in-game adjustments this team makes to maximize their advantages, and minimize disadvantages.
That requires a lot of advance scouting and preparation, something this staff is obsessed with. Good job Coaches!

            Work w/DC

I believe DC does have enough talent to help us this year. We saw that in the talent displayed in the CBI last year. I don't know if he was mad, or what, but he played good defense, blocked shots, made freethrows, had some good moves inside that were strong, didn't put the ball on the floor but took it right to the hole. So he can do it. Still needs confidence and improvement on defense.

I just wish he would show some aggression and realize the opportunities he is being given.

He isn't the first guy to mis a bunny....SS missed a point blank layup last nite also. Booooo Sam Singh. Booooo.

If someone can prove DC is tanking it, not giving all he has or just plain doesn't care then boo him but IF that was the case JL wouldn't even be playing him so its pointles to let him here boos raining down from his BU family. DC is just not a real good basketball player at this time.

I think he's giving us what he has. I don't mind people questioning his skills and being upset with his play/performance but to "boo" the guy is just senseless IMO. HOW does that help?

The kid needs positive reinforcement IMO. He admitted last year his confidence just wasn't there.

I'm pulling for him and I hope everyone else is also.

Right now we need DC more than ever with WE being down (for whatever amount of time) and lets hope he can do a CBI type comeback against Michigan State....I know I want him to!

I agree that it doesn't make sense to "boo" your own players. After Will was helped off the court, I remember telling the guy a couple seats away from me that Collins needs to learn how to play real fast. The guy responded that "he better get aggressive". As I said before, Collins came in and immediately showed exactly why he has not been on the floor lately. I believe the obligatory "COME ON.....FINISH!" was in order. However, I did not "boo".

I agree....I also yelled at DC but in the same vane that I yell at any player that I think desreves it. The funny thing about that though is who really hears me....basically the crowd around me.

With booing its usually a collective thing or sorta a mob mentality and if a few start more follow and then a player usually hears it.

OK....for the record I didnt boo DC but I was frustrated with what I saw and didnt see on the floor last night and for most of DC'S tenure as a Brave. If DC plays at MSU like he did last night, DC will get his *** kicked by the MSU post players....Last night we needed to "finish" with DC in the lineup and we didnt! I am sure that DC is a nice guy, but the time has come to give AT some minutes which will benefit AT and our program in the future.

I don't know how these things are handled, but I wonder if the coaching staff will have a "playoff" this week between Anthony Thompson and David Collins to determine who will get the minutes while Egolf is out.

I agree with everything you say Beni! AT MUST play to get better. Sure, he may get his @ss kicked for awhile but he CANNOT be any worse of an option than DC.

DC means NOTHING to the future of this program. He should be used strictly as a reserve. AT means EVERYTHING to the future of this program (and our ability to recrut top athletes, IMO) and he should be getting as much playing time as possible NOW. If he is not in shape he will be after a few games.

Last year we asked where is DC....Now we are asking for AT....There is a very similar sound to all this.

I'll trust JL that he knows what he is doing. MS was the better choice because defensively we knew we could count on him and DC was not going to give us much more on O. The difference between AT and DC, I have no idea and neither does anyone outside of the team. Let's just support the guys on the floor because I truly believe they are the best guys out there that can deliver the win.

I was a guy on this board that smashed MS but became a convert later in the season. I hope DC can do the same thing.

Too bad there is no clapping smilicon because you hit that one perfectly...

I apparently was the only one that did not see any hustle or attempt at playing the game from DC last night...I saw more of an "oh, I got to play because Will's hurt, but hey I wasn't ready to play" type of effort...

AT could not have been any worse regardless of what type of excuses the DC bandwagon wants to feed everyone...

And no one wants to boo, but really, everyone pays good money for their tickets not to see a 7 footer getting stuffed by the rim on an uncontested dunk...I assure you that you will not get much help patting the guy on the back there...

I hope for a turnaround w/ him, but there is about a 5% chance at this point of that happening, especially w/ his lack of effort and skill on the defensive end and in the rebounding game.

That's what we thought before the switch from Collins to Egolf.
