It sure would be nice if the offense was run this way by choice, next year! Maybe the game against Richmond is a sign of things to come.Onward and Upward!

Just got back from the early morning games at the Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions. The Tampa Bay Sickles won a good game 69-66 over the Richmond Rebels. 6'10" Senior John Henson did not play (committed to North Carolina) and 6'5" Senior Nolan Dennis had a good game for the Rebels (committed to Memphis). The second and third games were both blowouts with Indianapolis Howe beating St. Anna and Peoria Notre Dame beating Linn. Coach Les and family attended the Notre Dame game along with Coach Buscher. Talked to Coach Les briefly, he said the team is anxious to play at home in front of a packed Carver crowd.

Yes, I think we could also play a hi-lo very well with this group, and maybe (hopefully) we will sprinkle it in. But scrapping our current system altogether would be a bad idea IMO. With a 6'9" Egolf, 6'11" Thompson, and 6'8" Prosser manning the 5 spot, and a 6'7" Taylor Brown and 6'8" Milos Knenzevic manning the 4 spot, I don't think we'll be experiencing some of the shortcomings we have in the past. That's not even considering what a 6'9" John Wilkins might bring to the table.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

Tyler started for Notre Dame and played most of the 1st and 2nd quarter. Had a couple nice three's and a few lay up's. Solid with the ball and played good defense as well. Player of the game for Notre Dame was 6'6" Sophomore Max Bielfeldt. Great game on the boards, blocked numerous shots, and scored almost at will.

How has the attendance been at the tournament been this year? Also, have many college coaches been spotted recruiting? If so, where were they from?People need to recognize there is a huge difference between playing hard, and playing well...

The crowd was very small, probably 125 people per game. In regards to scouts there were several in attendance looking at many prospects. I did find one player in particular that would look good in BU gear. He is a 6'9" FRESHMEN Dekeeba Battie-Aston of the Richland Runnin' Rebels of North Richland Hills Texas. I figure with Coach Brooks Texas ties he can put a flyer out on this kid and start recruiting early. He has a great touch on his mid range jump shot and can score with his back to the basket as well. Will need to put on some muscle and work on his defensive skills.

the attendance at the sessions with local teams has been at least 500, sometimes well over 1000, and over 1500 for the Washington games.
The games between teams like Lake Forest Academy vs. Fayette Co. have been only about 200.
Speak of.......
I just watch half of the Fayette Co vs Lake Forest Academy...
Angus Brandt is good...but not yet an NBA'er....the hype is a little overboard.
David Smith of LFA - who is verballed to Drake, is very good
Remy N'Diaye is 6-7, looks to be 25 years old just like all the africans do, incredibly athletic, but raw.
for Fayette, Noel Johnson (USC recruit) is very, very good
also Peoria Notre Dame had a good game and beat Linn (MO) by about 40!!
Jim Les was there watching Tyler..
as for your question about any coaches present...of course Jim Les was there, and since it is an NCAA evaluation period, I would think some other coaches were there but I didn't recognize anyone except Eric Buescher watching Jordan Prosser.

I'd like us to run the flex O with the type of players we are recruiting. The flex gives your bigs the ball in the paint consistently. We run a flex when we are not doing the weave."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
