Quite a comeback by the Shox. They were down 12 in the 2nd half, and came back to beat an NCAA team that returned all of its starters. With Richmond and Siena in hand, perhaps the MVC can start to salvage the 2nd half of this non-con season and get back to respectability.

MVC results
ISU 75 Nicholls State 65-
Nice game by King-O, 24 points. Only 4,125 in attendance.
Utah 71 Missouri State 58
the game was played at Missouri State and drew 7,742. MSU shot poorly and got nothing from their bench.
Marquette 73 UNI 43
UNI didn't get much from their only 2 big men, Koch and eglseder, and their guards shot poorly. UNI was the "home team", but the game was played in Hoffman Estates as part of the Chicago Invitational Challenge.
The game was a blowout very early.
Wichita State 72 Siena 70
Juco transfer Clevin Hannah with 19 points and 6 assists, and freshman Toure Murry, who Bradley recruited, had 18.

Yes, after going 4-0 with a win at Wright State (0-3, RPI 287), and wins over Alabama State (1-2, RPI 246), Houston Baptist (0-5, RPI 319), and SMU (2-3, RPI 240) in the Dallas tournament, tonight's win over Nicholls State (1-2, RPI 247) was the Redbirds' home opener. It was the opening game of their World Vision Invitational. UC-Santa Barbara (2-3, RPI 133) beat Winston-Salem State (0-4, RPI 275) in the other game.
ISU is now 5-0 and will play Winston-Salem State (0-4, RPI 275) tomorrow night, then UCSB (1-3, RPI 133) on Sunday. Their 5 wins have been over teams with a combined record of 4-15, and RPIs of 287, 246, 319, 240, and 247. Maybe the schedule of softies has something to do with the abysmally low turnout of 4,125 tonight.
