this is the third year I have gone to the games at the Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions Classic.
I am really impressed. Shaun Powell doesn't even live around here, and yet he gets all the details just right.
The gym at Washington HS was filled with excited fans, and the attendance started with about 500 for the Delavan game, but by the time East Peoria, Eureka, and all their fans filled the gym, there were probably 1500 or more there.
The teams were good, and I like how Shaun matches some of the out of town teams vs. the local teams...BUT also mixes in games like East Peoria and Eureka -- two teams that would likely never face each other because of conference affiliation and class sizes.
Just a GREAT, GREAT job, and I high recommend that if you like TOP NOTCH high school ball at all, get to Washington HS this week for some games.
