I'll repeat - the MVC is REALLY down this year.

No wonder the Mtn West didn't mind inking a deal with the MVC. Catching us in a down period. Squash us. ESPN and all the crack-pipes will be glad to cover the games and put us in the "place we belong".... down with the "Low-Majors" hoping to be called Mid-Majors, but definitely far from the level of close to the Majors/BCS6 ... not in league with the MWC, A10 and CUSA.

Yikes - rough waters ahead.

Forget about catching us when we're down - do you think they regret the deal now?

Northern Iowa beats Chicago State 81-70, as Lucas O'Rear has a nice game off the bench for 9 pts, 10 rebounds. I am happy to see him get the issues behind him and do what he does best!

Some other interesting findings...
Eglseder only played 12 minutes..
Travis Brown bounces back with 14 pts in 18 minutes
Kerwin Dunham, one of Greg McDermott's recruits that he offered when the kid hadn't even played varsity basketball yet, played 21 minutes and was scoreless. (don't forget Eglseder was also a commit to McDermott while he was still in 8th grade!)
PG Kwadzo Ahelegbe 28 minutes, 5 pts (1-5), 1 rec, 1 asst, 3 turnovers.
Only 3019 saw the game at Northern Iowa.



Creighton loses at Little Rock.
Looks like Creighton shot poorly.
Stinnett 2-10, Carter 2-10, Cavel Witter 2-8 (and 5 turnovers),
Creighton was outrebounded 40-21.

Creighton fans are very hostile this morning...lots of rips at the team and personnel on their board.

A little off the court controversy at Creighton....

P'Allen Stinnett did not start last night and the head coach, Dana Altman stated it was because P'Allen was "not upholding certain standards".

This game is the 2nd in a row that P'Allen is in a P'slump...as he went 2-8 (1-5 from 3-pt) last game.
So over the past two games, P'Allen is 4-18, and only 1 assist.

Stinnett's scoring average has dropped from 30 ppg after their New Mexico game to just 13 ppg.
