  • #1 NC vs Oregon

Looks like the best player in college hoops is going to play his first game of the season tonight. Lets see how good the #1 ranked team really is now. Playin against a decent Oregon team.

Let's see how good they are???? Their number 6-10 players would be a ranked team!
NC is extremely good and extremely deep! It is tough to go undefeated but this squad has the players and depth to do it.

Yeah, the Pac 10 Oregon is no match for #1 NC. The tarheels up by 15 with 10 minutes before the half. Just dominating all aspects of the game. Hansbrough has only played 5 game minutes, appears to be a little winded at times. I see only injuries getting in the way of that monster team.

#1 NC up by 29 at the half in a very grinding physical game, what an embarrassment for Oregon. They gave Alabama a good run for their money couple nights ago, AL gets NC tomorrow I do believe. NC only needed Hansbrough for roughly 10 minutes LOL.

Nevermind, NC gets #7 Notre Dame tomorrow. That should be a great matchup.

              Hey JP911
Does beating Alabama by 23 equal a good run for their money? Am I taking this the wrong way? Don't get me wrong, I am no Duck honk but a 23 point win on a neutral court is hardly a "run for their money"

In other news, is the ACC turning into a one team league. There used to be such parity in this league. The Dukes, Marylands and Wakes of the world seem to be sliding a bit while UNC is just becoming more dominant.

Hansborough still looks like a lemur!!

Heh. I watched some of the game on ESPN last night. NC wins 102-87. Tyler Hansbrough played about 30 min this time and scored 34 points. The scary thing...he looks to have added some perimeter shooting. Saw him make some mid-range jumpers and even a confident 3-pointer. In the words of one of the announcers..."wait...he can get better?"

If having Hansbrough isn't tough enough to guard, NC's perimeter shooting is just deadly. I was literally shocked when they missed a 3 pointer. Can't really think of any team that can take them right now.

Might be too early to call, but I expect 1 MVC to get a bid (maybe 2 - but that can be talked about down the road)....

Right now, as it stands, UNC is by far and large the run-away favorite...

The MVC will draw the 8/9 game in UNC's bracket.

                    Book it!
