He's my MVP tonight, and my starting center from here on out. Just think if we actually looked for him in the post once in a while! McCain and Collins can find their seats next to Phillips and Lavin. Norris and Egolf stepped up. Some positives moving forward tonight for sure.

Agreed...but I still think Edge has much to show...it just may not be too much this year...
Collins can sit past Phillips...at this point, I'd rather see him in there
And as proved, we didn't need him at all in the 2nd half...
Will proved that he outplays him defensively AND he didn't buckle under pressure down the stretch....
Amazing given it was not only his first extended period of playing time, BUT it was also his first chance to play in the guts of the game....
I was even more impressed than what I thought he could give us...
Very impressive Will...we're all cheering you on....clutch baby, CLUTCH!
A 6'9" guy playing like a 6'9" guy...blocking shots, getting rebounds, getting tip-ins. Amazing! Now maybe we should look at him inside once in a while...

Yeah a great big-time coming out for Will Egolf! THat starting spot is his as far as I'm concerned.
Yep, if he can play like that again he has my vote as a starter.
One thing to look at this team - at one point we had 5 players with 3 games of D-1 experience on the floor. We also had Taylor Brown, Norris, and McCain playing together. With the injuries and the minutes that Sam M. has been playing, WE ARE A YOUNG TEAM! Practically all fresh/soph besides Theron.

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.
Is it correct that we were tied 54-54, then Egolf had the go-ahead basket, a defensive stand on the potential tying basket with 10 seconds left, then a steal, as well as the 2 clinching free throws? If you had told me that 3 hours ago I would have laughed. He played a great game, one of the better performances we've had from a big since Zach.

Guess that maybe me, Ben, and a couple others aren't so dumb after all
I bet we can count on one hand the number of entry passes from the wing to the post...if there were any (and I am not exaggerating). If anything, a few more buckets inside from WE will keep the defense honest and open things up for guys like Sam, Darian, and eventually AW. A few more touches inside and WE easily has double-digits tonight. Tonight was a breakthrough. Let's continue to develop it.

He certainly made some good moves from the top of the key, incl. the one that got blocked, along w/ me noticing that he sets a much stronger post than DC and close to what SS does w/ his wider body...
The guy makes things seem so natural and unlike DC who seems so clumsy and awkward...WE is fluid!

You know, I always cringe when thinking about Zach Andrews. And not in a bad way. He was one of my favorite players. The thing I cringe about is losing POB. I don't blame POB, but think of this line-up two years ago---
Druff
JC
JJ
Zach attack
POB.
I think we would have gone back to at least the S16 with that line-up.
Anyway, hopefully the future will improve for this team, and Will can be a major contributor.

IMO, I could definitely see the potential WE has shown from day 1. I am in disbelief because I didn't think our coaching staff would give him a chance like he had today. I absolutely believed that he had the ability to play like this. Great call on their part for picking now as the time to give him his shot and here's to the beginning of something good at the 5 spot for BU!
