There’s a lot riding on these next two games for the Braves (@SIU, vs. Ill St.). With these two teams ahead of us in the standings, 2 wins would go a long way into finish in the top 3. While I certainly don’t expect it, it would be awfully nice to have the season sweep tiebreaker over SIU and a split with the birds. Fingers crossed we find our outside stroke again this weekend/week.

If we beat SIU, and ISU loses, I believe that will casue a 4 way tie for 2nd.

It sure would. We have Loyola who’s better than everyone else, Valpo who’s worse than everyone else, and then everyone else

Can anyone explain why SIU's SidearmStats.com Live Stats feed doesn't work at all? Sidearm Stats is the live stats service Bradley uses, too. And this is not an isolated case. There have been quite a few games this year that their stats feed has not worked. On the other hand, I have never seen a case of any of the other live stats services not working.

BTW, Sidearm Stats is owned by Learfield Sports.
Another deal made by the previous administration.

I know, T. It drives me nuts. No patience on offense. They get down and refuse to chip away. It’s all 3s and errant passes. No flow to the offense whatsoever.

usually we can hang close with our defense, but today SIU makes everything they chuck up there and we aren't hitting FTs
Starting to think our only hope is play over our heads in St. Louis

ridiculous call with the intentional foul - should have been a "T" on Lloyd for chucking the ball

Wow, where has our defense gone. The defense in the 2nd half was horrendous. SIU scored 45 points, almost all on easy layups and wide open shots. We did a good job of making SIU look like Duke or Villanova.

Final score: SIU 74 Bradley 57

As noted above, the stats feed never worked during the game, so no stats are available.

Bradley is now 7-7 in the MVC.

Box score, if anyone wants to torture themselves-
http://siusalukis.com/boxscore.aspx?id=8038&path=mbball

SIU shot 64% in the 2nd half, and they were 7-10 (70%) from three! SIU had 34 points in the paint, mostly from an amazing layup drill performed by Kavion Pippin, who was 10-12 from the floor and Bradley's defenders are still trying to figure out how to guard him.
Maybe Pippin can parlay this performance into being an NBA lottery pick.

IMO, he shoots too much anyway and plays too many minutes.

i agree 100% he doesn't deserve near the minutes he's getting. We need a leader and his spot is where it should come from but it's not.

This league is way better than it has been the last several years. The easy thinking is because Wichita is gone the league has dipped but it’s rised drastically. Look at rpi. Up from a “sad” 12 last year to 8 this year.
