Bradley has played Delaware each of the last 2 seasons, and gotten clobbered each time.
12/1/15- Bradley played Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Bradley had a horrendous shooting night, and the final score was Delaware 70 Bradley 47-

11/13/16- Bradley played Delaware in Peoria. As in the previous game, Bradley shot extremely poorly in the first half (5-25, 0-12 from three), and Delaware lead 34-15 at halftime, one of the worst halves of basketball Bradley has ever played at home. They played a little better in the second half, but not well enough to close the gap, and Delaware won again 63-49.

So Bradley should break 50 this year.

Bradley is 1-0 after their win over IUPUI.

Delaware is 1-0 after an impressive win at Richmond Friday night. They lead the game by as much as 33 points before winning 76-63. Richmond was picked 8th in the 14 team Atlantic 10 Conference.

Delaware was picked 7th in the 10-team CAA preseason poll. Last season, they finished 9th, and in 2015-16 they finished a distant 10th.-

Roster-

Their best player is 6'6" sophomore Ryan Daly, who was picked for the 2nd team in the CAA Preseason All Conference teams.
He was the only Delaware player honored in the CAA preseason picks.
He topped the team scoring in their game against Richmond with 22 points, and he lead last year's team in scoring as a freshman with an average of 16.0 ppg-

A couple notes about Bradley (1-0) and Delaware (1-0)-

Ken Pomeroy's site currently projects Bradley has a 78.81% chance of winning the game against Delaware. He also predicts a margin of victory of 8.28 points.
Let's hope that is accurate.

Here is a free site- rpiforecast.com, that uses a formula from another well known sports statistician, Jeff Sagarin. It gives Bradley a 58% chance of winning, and sets the spread at 2.5 points-
http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/Bradley.html

Note that site projects Bradley to finish the season with a 13-15 overall record, and 7-11 in the MVC.

Bradley was an 8 point favorite last year against Delaware, and Delaware won that game by 14 points (63-49).

He practiced with the team today and did OK. He will be available to play tomorrow.
Koch Bar was bothered by a sore quadriceps muscle. But that is doing better, too. Wardle has said he'll go with the same starting 5 tomorrow- Bar, Thomas, DLO, Hodgson, and Brown.

The Hens dominated the first half but got dominated the 2nd. They only played about 7 or 8 guys in there win.

I think we play it right and wear them down. We dominate down the stretch and take care of the ball .

BU 75. Hens 62

Default Make Sense?

Since the Blue Hens defeated us the last 2 years handily, why would we be favored by 7-8 points? Their Coach is not new any more. I realize that we have more talent, depth and experience now, but is that enough to go from losing by 14 last year to winning by 7-8?

I agree. I was a little surprised to see Bradley favored by that much. The home court is worth a few points, but not enough to explain that margin. But realize that the Las Vegas betting line is chosen not to try to accurately pick the result, but to maximize the betting and minimize the chances that the house will end up losing money. That is reflected by the fact that the point spread will shift if too much money is bet on one side, to encourage bettors to bet on the other side so that the money bet on each side is fairly even.
The point spread at some casinos initially dropped slightly to 6.5 points, and now has moved slightly up to 7.5 points favoring Bradley-

DC, I am glad to have some insights into betting. I have never done much gambling. I think that Bradley will win this one, but I think it is going to be close. We are too experienced now to get shaken up and I think we are deeper than they are. We are probably better conditioned to wear them down, rather than to have our previously limited line up run out of gas. Braves by 4. 70-66.
Go Bradley!

Free throws may play a big part . With them making 19 and us only 6 in our first games . Can we keep them off the line? Win the FT battle? This is a Key for me.

BU needs to run up the score as payback for the last two embarrassments.

Cheer a little louder for me. I'm afraid they can't hear me in Texas, but I will have it on ESPN3.
