Default One MVC game Sunday, Nov. 12

There is one game involving an MVC team on Sunday, Nov. 11.
Eureka College at Loyola- 2:00 PM and viewable on ESPN3.com

Eureka played at North Texas on Friday, and got blown out 122-65. Their leading scorer was Peoria Notre Dame grad Shea Feehan with 24 points. It was an exhibition game for Eureka, as is this game Sunday against Loyola.-

Eureka has lots of local talent on their roster-

Loyola is 1-0 after an 84-80 win at home against Wright State on Friday-

Eureka hung close for most of the first half, but then Loyola pulled away a bit to a 15 point halftime lead. Then Loyola was able to slowly extend their lead and win by 27-
Eureka 69
Loyola 96

Peoria Notre Dame's Shea Feehan had a good game with 17 points, Richwoods grad Hank Matthews had 10 points, and former Nate Kennell teammate at Metamora, Jordan Dehm had 11. but no other Eureka player contributed much. Loyola outrebounded Eureka 47-31.

One other interesting game- on ESPN right now is Vermont at Kentucky- Bradley will play Vermont in the first game in the Islands of the Bahamas Tournament this coming Friday.
Vermont is very good. They are playing really well and they trail by only 72-69 with a little over a minute left in the game-

Thanks for sharing the box scores. Always interested in seeing the scoring for other Valley teams.

Tough luck for Vermont. With the score 72-69, they missed 2 free throws with 28 second left that would have cut Kentucky's lead to 1, but they got the rebound and called timeout to set up a play to get a high percentage three for the tie. The three just missed and the ball went out of bounds off a Kentucky player, so Vermont got another chance with 5.7 seconds left. But another three point shot attempt at the tie missed. Kentucky rebounded and was fouled with 0.4 seconds left and made 1 of 2 free throws to make the final score 73-69.
