Jordan Poole now has offers from the following big schools- Virginia Tech, Illinois, Auburn, Nebraska, Memphis, Marquette, Indiana, and Michigan.

I'd say Bradley's chances are 1 in a million. I'd guess Michigan is the most likely, Indiana is less likely.

definitely Marquette out of the running and they must know it as they just landed Brendan Bailey - son of NBA'er Thurl Bailey with their final 2016 scholarship (they have Sam Hauser)

Zach Gunn is now a top recruiting target of Tom Crean - (if he's still there in 2017)
http://www.indystar.com/story/recrui...ouis/73491990/

Derek Culver just got Arizona offer - and already had a dozen big school offers - likely that puts him out of reach of any mid-majors

Likewise Kevin Easley - getting offers from the likes on Tom Izzo/Michigan State
https://twitter.com/kevineasley__34/...65651256332288

Devin Whitelow, Carson Newsome, and others got nice writeups after fine performances last week at the NY2LA camp in Waukegan

need to add this kid back to the 2017 list - Bradley still tracking him - kinda raw but you can't teach 7-ft-3 in

Our staff also just went to see Justin Roberts
He is a Class of 2017 point guard at Indianapolis Pike HS * *
Pretty apparent the top recruiting targets for the future seem to be largely PG's

All of Bradley's great teams of the past 30 years have had great point guards. This has been our biggest problem since the Sweet 16 run along with lack of depth. If Wardle is to turn this thing around he must first find that great Valley PG. Versace found Scott, then Les. Mo's teams had great leaders running the show like Billie Wright. And Les' best teams had Ruffin and Maniscalco. Of course, Geno's teams had noone so we see how important this position really is.

Bingo - Billy Wright, Rob Dye, Eddie Mathews, Willie Scott, Daniel Ruffin, Anthony Manuel...
every single era when Bradley had a great point guard - who gains accolades for unselfishness - we did really well as a team.
Joel Okafor looks to be in that mold, but he has to have backup...he can't play 40 minutes for 35 games per year.

I'm not saying he'd be a good fit because there's a lot of unknowns with him being under the radar the past two years...

but he's doing remarkably well...
he led John A. Logan (juco) last night with 18 points and 16 rebounds...as Logan goes to 5-0

They are one of the best juco teams in the midwest and Michael Tucker is averaging 15 ppg, 9 rpg, and hitting 61% from the floor.

Could this kid even get into a school like Bradley? I know he's had injuries and all but I'd have to wonder if he could even qualify academically. He'd be a steal if he did as he's quite talented. I just wonder if he's a prima donna and if he'd be willing to accept a disciplinarian like Coach Wardle.

Romon Douglas-Watkins & DaMonte Williams have consistently been Manual's top scorers early this season...Manual is 4-0
Last night in a 78-53 win over Richwoods Romon Douglas-Watkins had 13 pts & 10 rebounds, but he's been getting around 20 in other early games.
AJ Youngman had 17 and DaMonte Williams had 23 with 9 rebs

Here's a nice read on their weekend tourney - looks like Manual plays a pretty tough brand of ball.
They won the Springfield Lanphier Tourney with a 70-59 win over St. Louis CBC the #2 ranked team in the State of Missouri.

AJ Youngman had 19 points last night including 5 3-pointers, Romon Douglas Watkins had 15 (and 7 rebs), and Da'Monte Williams had 16 in Manual's total domination of Champaign Centennial 84-54

Tornado,
I know there isn't much for BU to get a kid excited about coming to the Hilltop for right now, but I do think Wardle is the right guy if we can get some players in here. From what I have heard we don't have any chance of getting Williams, but do you think we have any chance to get Youngman?

Our coaching staff keeps their recruiting plans a very closely guarded secret. I was hoping someone who knows the family might tell us if they are hearing from the Bradley coaches. As a fan, I'd sure like a shooter of the caliber of A.J.

I think yes...
look at Nate Kennell...he's grown up here in Central IL and wants to play at Bradley...
AJ spent much of his life growing up here in Illinois and visited Bradley very early on in the recruiting process.
AJ actually came to BU when he was in 8th grade - LINK

..and he was doing well in high school in Kentucky yet they family moved here to Central IL and I "have heard" they are very happy here.

I think we have a chance unless AJ blows way up and gets a lot of Big Ten offers...
AJ is currently a high school junior and isn't likely to make his college decision for another year or more - so if we make him the centerpiece of our 2017 recruiting class- we could get him.
Of course, having said that- I don't know how he & his family feel or how Coach Wardle feels....time will tell.
btw- the very same high level coaches that came to watch AJ in Kentucky also came to watch Dikembe Dixson - and yet Dixson landed at UIC.

btw- some updates on some of the recruiting names from the original list..

Lindy Waters was MVP of their event this weekend
https://twitter.com/magnolia_hoops/s...79038604648452

Elijah Joiner having very solid season thus far

https://twitter.com/Mike_Stunson/sta...20550176661504
https://twitter.com/BallisLifeCHI/st...43319821529090

Trevian Bell playing well and visited Loyola Saturday and saw them knock off Creighton

Jordan Poole is off the list- he verbaled to Michigan

Add 2017 Justin Roberts, point guard Indianapolis Pike - to our list as our staff has been watching **

One of our coaches is scouting the Chicago Kenwood-Hyde Park game tonight-
https://twitter.com/prepbullseye/sta...93583498735616

We have been connected with guards Nick Robinson and Zion Morgan from their class of 2016, and Manual Patterson, a 6'8" forward from their class of 2017.

Manual's Da'Monte Williams is still uncommitted, but it's sounding like he already knows where he wants to play .. time will tell..

"I love Illini fans" ...also says he's impressed by coaching staff and newly renovated arena
