Ex-ICC Cougar Shang Ping no longer plays for the premier Chinese team, the Beijing Ducks

Ed Cage had 17 pts, 7 rebs last night

Osiris Eldridge made his debut with his new French team, Boulazac...and it wasn't pretty...
In his first game in the top French pro league, Osiris Eldridge started and was 2-8 with 0-4 from beyond the arc...only 5 pts, 2 reb...and his entire team scored only 56 pts and lost 76-56.

Cellus with a solid game leads Nancy to a 58-45 win

Boulazac loses again - Osiris goes 1-7 and misses all three 3-pt attempts - he's now 3-15 on the year and 0-7 from the arc.

Tabare wins 101-95, Ed Cage 15 pts, 6 rebs

Trouville loses 102-85 but Carlton Fay has a great game 23 pts, 5 rebs, 3 asst

Great news for Zach Andrews & Bradley fans...
Zach has recovered and is quite near to his return to Italian top pro team Sutor Montenegrano...

this is a funky translation but it talks about Zach return...
http://translate.google.com/translat...ed=0CDkQ7gEwAA

also - in the news...Lawrence Wright - who had signed with Orchesein in France - suddenly got an offer from
a considerably better team in the top pro league in Luxembourg...

Will Franklin shines with Oradea in the top pro league in Romania..translation
his team is in 1st place!!
http://www.eurobasket.com/boxScores/...3_625_1294.asp
http://translate.google.com/translat...ed=0CDcQ7gEwAA

...btw - Will Franklin is coming off a surgical reconstruction of a very severe ACL rupture...he is kinda right now where Derrick Rose is and yet he's already playing and should continue to get even better! Good job Will, one of my favorite BU Braves - especially hitting that 45 footer dagger vs. Kansas!!!!

Will is also getting pleanty of sympathy in Romania...

I thought this was funny - but it has little to do with our BU players in Europe...

But - an ex-Memphis player who went over to play in Italy the past year - has a few funny comments about his experiences there...

"Chris Douglas-Roberts talks again on his Italian experience

...with the lockout..I just wanted to go play hoops, even if it was in Italy.
I turned down more money in other countries so it wasn't about that.

I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Living conditions were not good at all.
The apartment was extremely small; nobody spoke English. We didn't have any hot water
We were taking six hour busses to the games, with no food on the bus.
On the road, you have a roommate on two twin beds and I'm 6-7, so my legs are hanging off the bed and it's hard to sleep.

... not being particularly fond of former NBA players....they didn't love me.
It was hard getting any fouls called.

..we ate pasta every day. EVERY day. That's what it is over there. Pasta with grilled chicken.
I was like, 'Man, you don't have alfredo sauce? The white sauce?' They're looking at me like I'm crazy.
So one of my teammates, Pepe, an Italian, said American pasta is like Finnish rap music.
.. They destroy our American pasta. 'You all don't have real pasta,' they say. .
They like the mainstream classic rap over there, and they aren't into the gangster rap lyrics."

Here's another interesting story out of the Euro leagues....

ex-Xavier forward/SG Romain Sato was arrested and detained for trying to travel with a forged passport..
This is of course quite a puzzle as Sato has been playing and traveling in Europe for some time and it's never come up and the Turkish officials are saying that this is unjust and a political move the part of the Slovenians.

Eddie Cage had 15 points 5 rebounds 2 blocks in his team's win
BU's David Collins - an exceptional game of 14 pts, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks!!!
(Collins LEADS the entire league in rebounding, and is 2nd in blocks!)

Carlton Fay 15 points 8 rebounds 1 block

Andrew Warren had a fine game but his team lost - hit a couple 3-pointers and netted 12 pts...

and Zach Andrews made his return from a knee injury - he only played 13 minutes but nice to see him back in action in the top pro league in Italy with Sutor Montenegrano

Dodie's highlights hit the internet!
http://www.australiabasket.com/VideoView.asp

kinda gets away with a little travelling there but Dodie sure does blow by all those flat-footed Chinese guys!
..and his passing seems to leave many of them with their jaws dropped.

Lawrence Wright makes his debut with Basket Esch - and has a nice game - 14 pts

David Collins continues with solid play - helping his team to a lopsided 77-45 win with 8 pts, 7 rebs, and a block in just 14 minutes as the subs played much of the way

More followups on some locals..

Champ Oguchi - "on the NBA's radar"
http://www.pressherald.com/sports/ba...012-11-13.html
http://www.mbr.org/story/champ-oguch...entice-an-nba-
(also some mention there of ex-BU recruit Shelvin Mack

Last night Osiris Eldridge's Boulazac team beat Chalon, King-O going 7-10 and 20 pts

Zach Andrews is sitting out again for Sutor Montegranaro - with his knee

Lawrence "Boogie" Wright named among Best Performers - he should be in the running again next week with his 30-pt performance Saturday.
http://www.eurobasket.com/Luxembourg...?NewsID=294165

Carlton Fay 22 pts, 7 rebs, 2 asst.

Ed Cage 16 pts, 5 rebs

Chris Roberts is officially on the opening day roster of the NBDL Texas Legends...

Correction (from above post)- David Collins - 9 pts not 98
