Here's a potential for a grad transfer for 2016
http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/inde..._albrecht.html

one other thing--
I looked back at all the rosters at Green Bay from 2010 til now...and it appears that in all that time - really almost 6 recruiting classes that Brian Wardle was in charge of, he really only brought in two juco kids - there were a couple more that had "stopovers" at juco but who were in effect, DI transfers, like Cougill...
So if that's his pattern - then I don't expect a lot of juco activity even tho we have heard that our staff has, on occasion, recruited juco events.

If Okafor doesn't work out, next year would be a good year to bring in a junior college point guard. This year looks to be very rough and I would hate to see next year be the same.

I am sure the coaches see what we see, plus they see a lot more in practices.
I am sure there will be some turnover at the end of the season, and I don't think the recruiting is finished. Clearly this team needs improved ball handlers and passers.

F/U on a couple other juco kids nearby....

-Michael Tucker- avg 15.6 ppg, 9 rpg
..just coming off a 20pt/13reb performance in which he was 8-11 from the field and had a couple blocks & assists.
http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/201...haeltucker1gbu

-Kavell Bigby-Williams has taken over the lead NATIONALLY in rebounding with almost 14 rpg !
http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/201...bywilliams801l

-at Missouri-West Plains (where David Collins came from) is a kid named Ngor Barnaba...
way under the radar, but...all the 6-9 kid is doing is putting up 17ppg & 9rpg while hitting 52% from the field & 45% from the 3-pt arc.
http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/201...gorbarnabalu8x

-Daeshon Francis - former Brian Wardle kid at Green Bay- still averaging 17.6 ppg

Then within driving range- numerous juco kids are hitting prolifically from 3-pt range and shooting at 50% or even higher...
I don't know about their whole skill set - but this kind of shooting maybe deserves a look?

If Coach Wardle is still looking for a junior college point guard, here is one worth considering. And he is very familiar with Bradley, since Bradley recruited him out of prep school-
Charles Tucker
http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=23927

Charles Tucker was recruited by Geno Ford, and was offered. He even visited Bradley, but eventually, after Bradley signed Tramique Sutherland, the Bradley interest dropped off. He committed to Tennessee State. He spent 1 season at Tennessee State (2014-15), then left and transferred to Panola Community College in Texas. This season at Panola, Tucker leads the team in scoring with 13.2 ppg, he's shooting 46.2% from three, and he's averaging 8.8 assists per game.
Last night in his team's win, Tucker had 21 points and 14 assists.

He currently ranks 4th in the country in NJCAA junior college with his 8.8 assists per game-

latest national ranking has West Oaks - Koch Bar's former school & BU recruit Richardson Maitre's current school - ranked at #43 nationally

but they took on a top-ten team over the weekend with the highest ranked unsigned big man in the nation and West Oaks won 62-48
Richardson Maitre had 22 points - right about at his average.

I thought he was going to Cleveland State. Did I get him mixed up with someone else?

Richardson Maître did commit to Cleveland State at the end of September. But then about 3 weeks later, he announced that he was de-committing. He has said he is still considering Cleveland State, but has still not made a final decision.

a kid I would love to land...has a great basketball name...(but he's pretty highly rated so I doubt wed have had a chance - he's verbaled to UCLA)

LONZO BALL - plays for a high school in California...and they knocked off a nationally ranked team (High Point Christian) 100-75

...Lonzo put up a stat line of 15 points, 22 assists, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 assists

He has two brothers on the team who scored 29 & 21 off his assists - probably fun to watch

The blog said he was receiving high-major interest. If Bradley was still interested, it would not sound very promising.

It is being reported that our staff is in Lawrence Kansas TONIGHT, to watch Class of 2016 (high school senior) point guard
Justin Roberts of Lawrence HS in Lawrence, KS **

Lawrence's Justin Roberts is the son of St. John's former head coach and Illini former assistant under Bruce Weber - Norm Roberts.....
who is currently an assistant at Kansas under Bill Self.

Our staff has previously watched Class of 2017 PG Justin Roberts (same name/different player) at Indianapolis Pike HS
http://bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread...#post825116003

here's a weird thought - what if we LANDED both of them and had two players- both PG's - on the roster at the same time named Justin Roberts!
Neither is related to new Bradley President Dr. Gary Roberts

Here's the Indianapolis Pike Justin Roberts

Here's an update of who we know of for 2016, but there are more & we will add as we hear news.

2016 recruits - top tier most of whom have been offered and visited:
Kavell Bigby-Williams - we have offered - LINK -
Daniel Soetan - LINK LINK
Justin Thomas - Indianapolis Pike point guard first mentioned about 2 weeks ago here --> LINK - also plays for Indiana Elite - if we sign a PG this fall then this guy is a possibility
Justin Roberts - of Lawrence, KS HS
Daeshon Francis - our guys have been recruiting Iowa recently
Richardson Maitre - just decommitted from Cleveland State and is now back on the market
Leland Green - still open, just visited UTEP
Godwin Boahen - Now just visited Louisville but apparently no offer
Zion Morgan - decommitted from Valpo - reopened recruitment
Nate Taphorn - could be available in 2016 as a grad-transfer - another link - already talking about graduation...
Charles Tucker

Others who we have reportedly offered but do not appear to still be top targets-
Montrell Dixson - has changed high schools 3 times since last spring -
Ben Coupet - has kinda dropped off a bit - now checking out Eastern Carolina? - LINK
Derrick Walker - his move to Sunrise Prep is not a good sign for Bradley
Logan Hodges - ***
Micah Bradford - XXX -has verballed to Valparaiso
XXX - Zach Norvell - verballed to Gonzaga
Chris Palombizio - just verballed to Oakland
Marquell Fraser - Marquell has chosen VCU - tough loss but we saw it coming
Loren Christian Jackson - commits to LBSU
Charlie Moore - committed to Memphis

Our coaches saw a good game with Lawrence HS beating Topeka 57-55 in a very rough game..
and Justin Roberts was injured in the first half and apparently did not return

Here's the game our coaching staff was at last night - nice that they flew out a day early to go do some recruiting, and thus they didn't get delayed like the rest of the team..
http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2016/ja...a-reach-final/
http://www.wibwnewsnow.com/day-two-o...al-tournament/

Here's a picture one of the CJOnline photographers captured just as Justin Roberts injured his shoulder in a collision...
he left the game after scoring 4 1st half points and did not return - and is said to have "dislocated" his right shoulder...
and undoubtedly will be out for a month or two.
This is one of the very sad but realistic factors about remaining "unsigned" well into your senior season...
Now that he's injured and perhaps won't even return again this year - he isn't likely to get any offers...and may be forced
to go the prep or juco route or play AAU ball again this summer after he's graduated.

Freddie McSwain added and a few other update notes added as well

2016 recruits - top tier most of whom have been offered and visited:
Kavell Bigby-Williams - we have offered - LINK -
Freddie McSwian, Jr. - just offered - also has 4 teammates shooting well over 40% from 3-pt

Richardson Maitre - Offered by & VISITING Boston College soon
Leland Green - still open, just visited UTEP
Godwin Boahen - just got offer from UC-Davis!
Zion Morgan - decommitted from Valpo - reopened recruitment - we are likely also watching his HS teammate Nick Robinson
Nick Robinson - gotta see these new highlights!!! - LINK
Nate Taphorn - could be available in 2016 as a grad-transfer - another link - already talking about graduation...
Charles Tucker

Others who we have reportedly offered but do not appear to still be top targets-
Montrell Dixson - has changed high schools 3 times since last spring -
Ben Coupet - still available - not sure if "qualified"-
Derrick Walker - moved to Sunrise Prep - apparently injured/not playing?
Micah Bradford - XXX -has verballed to Valparaiso
XXX - Zach Norvell - verballed to Gonzaga
Chris Palombizio - just verballed to Oakland
Marquell Fraser - Marquell has chosen VCU - tough loss but we saw it coming
Loren Christian Jackson - commits to LBSU
Charlie Moore - committed to Memphis

one last thing - check out this ranking of the TOP 100 junior college players in 2014 - a couple years ago...
http://media.wix.com/ugd/35a926_7271...70b7a0aff7.pdf

Plenty of familiar names, especially 32, 35, 64, 65, 68, 72, 87
but how many of the TOP 100 have found success in college - EXTREMELY few... most bombed out and many aren't even in DI any more..
Only a couple have become solid DI players...This shows the risks of expecting juco players to be much help right off the bat..unless...
unless you can find the diamond in the rough - that is a key part of what you need...
like Dequon Miller is right now for Missouri State and Leo Vincent & Mike Rodriguez are at SIU
