Drake up 39-29 at half
but I am struck by the lack of hustle & effort the Sycamores show - even Coach Lansing didn't seem into the game and didn't make a peep when the refs made a bad call....
they look like a team already defeated... even the stands are empty and the fans in a coma...
They'd better come out in the 2nd half with a little fire.

Drake has outplayed Indiana State in Terre Haute, and has lead nearly the entire game. But Indiana State has kept it close late in the 2nd half.
Currently with 8 minutes left, Drake leads 55-50-

Drake plays with nice poise and steadiness, they don't ever seem to get rattled, though their games always seem close (except for their 25 point blowout of ISU). That's probably because they have so many experienced seniors. They play with 4 guards on the floor at all times, but they still rebound pretty well.
Drake's top 5 players in playing time are all seniors, so it is not a fluke that they are looking like they might be contenders this season.
But next year might be more of a challenge for Coach Niko Medved with almost all freshmen and sophomores.

Both teams played well, and the last couple minutes of the game were exciting. But Drake was able to hold on to win on the road at Indiana State 75-72-

Drake goes to 10-7, and 4-0 in the MVC
Indiana State goes to 7-9, and 2-2 in the MVC.
