Speaking of former Bradley players, here are the ones who will be playing elsewhere this season, or who still have eligibility left -

Jordan Swopshire- left Bradley after the 2013-14 season- After sitting out the 2014-15 season at Colgate University in the Patriot League, he played the last 2 seasons there, and will be a senior this season (2017-18 ). He has been a starter most of the games he played, and averaged over 10 ppg each of the last 2 seasons, though his stats actually dropped a little last year from his sophomore year-
http://gocolgateraiders.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=8767

Josh Cunningham- left Bradley after the 2014-15 season. After sitting out the 2015-16 season due to transfer rules, he suffered a serious knee injury in their second game of the season. He missed the next 21 games, then came back and played in Dayton's last 9 games. He was not as effective after his return as he was in the first two games.
http://daytonflyers.com/roster.aspx?...21&path=mbball

Xzavier Taylor- left Bradley after the 2014-15 season. He sat out the 2015-16 season, then played in all 33 games for IPFW (now known as Fort Wayne) last year as a junior. he played exclusively as a backup center, and did not start any games. He averaged 5.2 ppg and a surprisingly low 2.4 rpg in 15.1 mpg. He is projected to be the starting center this season.
http://www.gomastodons.com/roster.as...59&path=mbball

Davante Cooper- left Bradley after the 2015-16 season. After spending one season at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, Davante will have 2 years of eligibility at Washington State University. He looks like he might have put on a little weight-
http://www.wsucougars.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=4978

Scottie James- left Bradley after the 2015-16 season. He sat out last season at Liberty University, and will have 3 years of eligibility starting this season.
http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index....RosterID=11480

Joel Okafor- left after the 2015-16 season. He transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University, an NAIA Division II school. Because there is no requirement to sit out after transfer to an NAIA school, he was able to play last season as a sophomore. He played mostly as a backup point guard, and started 4 games. He will get more playing time this season.
http://www.iwuwildcats.com/roster/15/6/5021.php

Ronnie Suggs- left after the 2016-17 season. he transferred to university of Missouri and will sit out this season and have 2 more years of eligibility left starting with the 2018-19 season-
http://www.mutigers.com/roster.aspx?...79&path=mbball

Lou Griffith- left Bradley after last season, and will play this season at Lincoln College, a Division II junior college in Lincoln, Illinois.

Alex Foster- left Bradley after last season, graduated, and transferred to the University of Albany. He will be eligible to play this season as a grad transfer.
http://www.ualbanysports.com/ViewArt...B_OEM_ID=15800

Jerome Merritt- left after last season and transferred to College of Central Florida, a Division I junior college in Ocala, Florida. Because he redshirted at Bradley, he will be a freshman there this season, and he still has 4 seasons of eligibility left.

Albany just had their intrasquad scrimmage, and
one of their message board posters said this about Bradley transfer Alex Foster..

"Just got back from UA scrimmage..
The player the impressed me the most was Alex Foster. I knew he was good
coming from a bigger program, but he was fast, rebounded like a beast, and
blocked shots. He may end up in a lot of foul trouble, but he will be a beast
in the America East.
I may have my purple glasses on as well, but this team is legit."

*

Their local newspaper said this:
".. the top five scorers last season..all are back.....
the coaches ...are getting their first extended looks at a half-dozen newcomers
(Head Coach Will) Brown said he is high on Alex Foster, a 6-8 senior who transferred from Bradley"

Likewise, Liberty University is reportedly expecting big things from Scottie James. He is visible a couple times (#31 in the dark jersey) in this brief video-
https://twitter.com/LibertyMBB/statu...12444221714432

He looks like he has bulked up a bit.

And despite Liberty returning 4 starters and 5 of their top 6 scorers from last year's 21-14 team that finished 1 game out of the lead in the Big South with a 14-4 league record, Scottie is projected to fight for a starting spot and will be a key player this year for them.

I really liked Scottie James when he was here. I thought he had a lot of potential. I was sorry to see him transfer

Davante Cooper, who left Bradley after the 2015-16 season and played last year at Tyler Junior College in Texas, is now at Washington State. Things do not look so rosy for Davante there. Washington State was just picked to finish dead last in the Pac-12 Conference Preseason Poll for the 3rd year in a row. Davante Cooper's name appears in this preseason article about the Washington State team as a transfer, but nothing else is said about him-

The only former Bradley players still playing college ball are:

Left in spring of 2014 or 2015
Xzavier Taylor - redshirt senior at IPFW - should be one of their leaders and main big men this year
Jordan Swopshire - redshirt senior at Colgate - should be one of their leaders again this year
Josh Cunningham - redshirt junior at Dayton - being counted on to be a regular in the frontcourt

Left in spring of 2016
Joel Okafor - junior at Indiana Wesleyan - has been a reserve point guard
Davante Cooper - junior at Washington State - lots of potential for playing time in the frontcourt
Scottie James - redshirt sophomore at Liberty - should have a great chance to get playing time in their frontcourt

Left in spring of 2017
Ronnie Suggs - will be a redshirt junior at Mizzou when eligible next fall, 2018 - will have to battle for playing time
Alex Foster - redshirt senior/grad transfer at Albany - has a chance to be one of their better players
Jerome Merritt - sophomore at College of Central Florida (juco) - a few early writeups are positive - he ought to dominate a lot of juco opponents
Lou Griffith - redshirt freshman at Lincoln College - I think he will be one of their most consistent players

D'Angelo McBride is the captain of Bradley's Club basketball team but not playing varsity *

Alex Foster should get his first action as Albany plays a charity exhibition at West Virginia tonight..

WVU has jumped out to a quick 11-2 lead but Alex has not yet entered

edit- Albany trails 14-4 as they have 5 turnovers in their first 7 possessions- Foster entering the game at 15:33 - gets in the books right way with a foul...(fouled a 3-point shooter and the guy made a 4-point play)

edit again - blowout early 27-6

final update- West Virginia 98 -Albany 67, Alex Foster went 4-5, 8 pts, 3 reb in 24 min

Other former Bradley players-

Jordan Swopshire is now a senior at Colgate. He started 26 of 30 games and averaged the 3rd most minutes per game as a sophomore at Colgate, and averaged 10.6 ppg and 4.7 rpg (both ranked 2nd on the team). As a junior, he started 20 of 32 games, and averaged 10.3 ppg & 4.7 rpg, but his playing time dropped toward the end of the season, and he lost his starting spot.

Now as a senior, he is expected to be an important part of Colgate's 2017-18 team. Colgate played an exhibition game last night at home against Canisius. They shot poorly and were clobbered by Canisius 85-67-
http://gocolgateraiders.com/boxscore...44&path=mbball

Swopshire did not start in the exhibition game last night, he played 19 minutes, and scored 7 points and had 4 rebounds. Attendance was just 222!
They start their season with a game on Friday, Nov. 10 at UConn.

As we posted elsewhere, Scottie James played in one preseason exhibition game for Liberty University at VCU. Liberty won easily, and Scottie had a pretty good game off the bench with 8 points and 8 rebounds in just 17 minutes in the 85-69 Liberty win-
http://www.liberty.edu/wwwadmin/glob...x%20(Exh.).pdf

Joel Okafor is now a junior at Indiana Wesleyan University. They have played 2 games already. Joel started the first game on Oct. 27 at point guard, played 19 minutes, and scored 2 points and had 1 assist. He did not play in their second game on Oct. 28. So he might have an injury, but I can't find any report about him.
Indiana Wesleyan won both games and is now 2-0. They play again in a tournament this weekend with games Friday & Saturday.

The other ex-Bradley players still playing elsewhere are Josh Cunningham at Dayton, Xzavier Taylor at IPFW, Alex Foster at Albany, and Davante Cooper at Washington State. Those teams have not played any official games yet.
Ronnie Suggs is redshirting at Missouri.
And Lou Griffith is at Lincoln College. They have played several games, but stats are available from the games.
Lincoln College is ranked #9 nationally in NJCAA Division II-
https://basketball.lincolncollege.ed...e-season-poll/

The article mentions Lou Griffith's name three times, but misspells it as Griffin every time.

And speaking of Lou Griffith & Lincoln College...they played their first game last night...
Lou Griffith led all scorers with 23 pts, in a 100-59 win over Hannibal-Lagrange
Lou was 5-11 on 3-pointers and 9-16 overall, and also had 2 reb, 4 asst and 2 steals!

A couple more games to report involving former Bradley players-

Washington State played an exhibition game Sunday 11/5 against St. Martin's University, a Division II school from Lacey, Washington. WSU won 85-74, but it was a surprisingly close game much of the way. St. Martin's lead at halftime, but WDU took the lead in the second half and held on.
Davante Cooper did not play, and there is no report why-
http://www.wsucougars.com/boxscore.a...58&path=mbball

Jerome Merritt has played in 2 games so far for College of Central Florida, a Division I Junior college in Ocala, Florida. He started one of them, and is averaging 10.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, shooting 70% from the floor, and averaging a team-leading 3.5 assists per game, and an assist to turnover ratio of 7.0 (7/1)

The other former Bradley players who are still active will be in action this weekend in regular season games.

Redshirt freshman Lou Griffith helped lead Lincoln college (Division II junior college) to their 6th straight win last night over Black Hawk College (Moline). They are now 6-0!

I can't find the stats for last night's game yet, but here is the page that currently show their stats for their first 5 games (it may update soon with last night's stats).
Through their first 5 games, redshirt freshman Griffith was averaging 12.8 ppg (tied for 2nd on the team), and he was shooting 44.1% from three.

Lou led all players at the half with 12 points - but the final stats are pending

Lou's former Washington HS teammate and former BU recruit Devin Whitelow, now just a freshman at DII power, Winona State
is undefeated at 3-0 and leads the team in scoring (15.3 ppg) shooting pct (18-35, 51.4%), 3-pt shooting pct (1.000), assists (3.3), FT% (89%)
and he ranks either 2nd or 3rd on the team in rebounding, steals, and minutes played!

Alex Foster is now a 5th year grad at University of Albany, and he's getting a chance to play more. Albany is 3-0, and Foster is averaging 6.3 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game in only 16.3 minutes per game average playing time.
