Default Here's a high school kid I'd like to see us recruit

6'2" Wheaton Academy senior Josh Ruggles may be the best shooter in the country. But he does not have a single D1 scholarship yet.
http://www.cbssports.com/general/fea...ing-for-a-shot

That article referred to him as "A high school junior from Wheaton, Illinois", but that is a mistake. He is a senior, class of 2015.
We had this thread about him over a year ago-
www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=23039

Here is his video making 135 three point shots in 5 minutes, shooting 135 of 147 (92%)-
http://www.cbssports.com/collegebask...e-minute-drill

And to prove that was not a fluke, he recently was invited to compete in a three point contest in Spain. There he competed against an array of European pros and former US college stars now playing pro in Europe. He won the three point championship, and it was not even close-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIBJp0TpAKQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzpFHyg75kQ

Highlight film- he handles the ball very well, and plays point guard for his high school-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9tDv0yydwI

If I was a coach, I wouldn't care if he couldn't guard anyone. This kid can really shoot. He is worth a scholarship, and I predict he will have several pretty good offers before he finishes his senior year.

Kid can shoot-doesn't look very quick even against smaller white schools. Probably more than one reason he doesn't have any offers right now, not saying he wont get some. Who does that kid guard in the valley and no he doesn't handle the ball well enough to play any pg in college!

just talked with someone who has seen Josh several times and whose kids go to school with him...
he told me that Josh was hearing from several DII's and a few DI's but has already made his decision even tho he may still be playing some AAU ball this summer....
he will be at NAIA Grace College

Five point guards and a power forward in the list. The emphasis seems to be on finding a point guard to go with Bar and Kennel. There are some impressive stats for those players. I must say a 6'4" point guard with an 80" wing span would be unusual at Bradley. I couldn't find stats on him yet.

I think you may want to check your link on Chris Oseitutu. It is linking with Chris Tutu, I think.

But "Chris Tutu" calls himself "Chris Oseitutu" so I am assuming that is his real name... and that the designation "Tutu" is a shortened form or nickname.
plus if you go to the roster page of his school - he is "Chris Oseitutu"

again - I don't know if we are actively recruiting them or if they are just names our guys maybe just looked at once..
but each of those names are connected to one or more of the Bradley coaches...

Seems like a good pickup for NIU
http://www.rrstar.com/article/201512...39949/?Start=2

then just to prevent you from having to click on other threads- here also are some other followups on some recruits...

Ian Caddow was also named MVP of his team's Holiday Tourney

BU recruit Derrick Walker transferred to Sunrise Christian and seems to all but disappeared, and having a great AAU season last summer.
The few game reports (Marshall County Hoopfest) that mention him have him scoring just 2 points & 6 points

Micah Bradford's (has verballed to Valpo) team won the Kankakee Holiday Tourney and he was MVP
http://www.illinoishighschoolsports.....php?p=1804615

Malik Fitts is averaging 10 ppg, CJ Keyser (Wichita commit) 14 for Brewster

IU transfer Emmitt Holt (at Indian Hills CC) averages 12 ppg, 6 rpg on 73% shooting

Drake just offered Indianapolis Pike's PG Justin Thomas LINK - LINK

Former Bradley recruit who verballed to Mizzou, Reed Nikko is not having that great of a season..
He is averaging just 9.4 ppg
http://tchoops.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

One more....former Loyola commit Roosevelt Smart who is yet uncommitted & who transferred to Sunrise Christian, after a few good games in November, has not been mentioned in any of Sunrise's box scores since...injured?

One other Wichita commit - a kid named Daishon Smith - is doing quite well..
putting up 32 & 27 pts & a triple double

too late now, but this kid, Josh Ruggles - may have been a DI talent after all...
just 4 games into his junior season at Loras College, he's averaging 24 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 apg.. plus he's a straight A student..
....wonder if he'd be interested in the grad transfer rule...

In last night's win over Ripon, he went 11-14, 5-7 from the arc, 37 points, 5 reb, 4 asst & 3 steals
