Thanks - this is interesting....Bigby-Williams has been discussed here a few times when he played this summer on the British team with DLO

He's a juco soph at Gillette College
he's averaging 16 ppg, 13.6 rpg, and 7 blocks! - for the 15-0 Gillette team

I think one of our big men leave in April & we get Bigby-Williams to strengthen & give some experience and depth to our frontcourt

Last night Gilette College won again, rallying from a 20-point 2nd half deficit and Kavell Bigby-Williams was 6-6 from the floor, 18 pts, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks

Gilette remains undefeated at 16-0

BU recruit Kavell Bigby-Williams still leads the NATION in two different categories...

He is comfortably ahead as national rebounding leader at 13.6 rpg

and he also has a wide lead nationally with 6.8 blocks per game

his other stats include 15.6 ppg, 54.3% FG shooting, while averaging only 2.5 fouls per game and 1.7 TO/gm

Kavell - come on down - Braves fans would love to watch you play!!!

Tornado, I hope as well that we land him. He seems like an athletic difference maker.

Do you think we have a chance?

tornado 01-20-2016 01:29 PM

I think so - will PM you with my thoughts..

Do we know if he and DLO are close enough that he will be swayed to come join him here?

Da Coach 01-20-2016 04:02 PM

That is not known. They know each other and have played together with the national teams.
Hopefully, the prospect of immediate playing time will help Bradley's case. Juco players don't want to be backups with only 2 years to play.

tornado 01-23-2016 03:13 PM

Kavell had 18 & 9 Thursday and they play again today

tornado 01-25-2016 04:32 AM

..21 pts, 11 rebs - continues to average 16 ppg, 13.3 rpg, 7 blks

Memo to Kavell --
go check the conversation that Auburn fans are having...on msg boards and per twitter..

you are not only considered as a backup plan for their remaining big-man-scholarship - but they also see you as a career sub & bench guy to play in case their other studs get they already have a 4-star stud (McLemore - LINK) signed for your very (PF) spot...
Just sayin' ....Choose be a yuuuuuge part of what Bradley accomplishes the next couple years!!!

Gillette clobbers Sheridan 95-60 to go 23-0
don't have individual stats but a Texas assistant was there to view Kavell

LongTimeFan 01-28-2016 04:59 PM

If schools of that size is interested, it will be a hard recruit for schools like Bradley. Maybe he wants immediate playing time?

tornado 01-28-2016 05:13 PM

actually - with the Texas assistant watching, Kavell actually had the worst game of his career...
he battled constant foul trouble and did not play much, ending with just four points... Maybe the Texas assistant will just pass on him & leave him for the mid-majors...

tornado 01-29-2016 04:49 AM

Kavell bounces back with 21 pts/10 reb

tornado 01-31-2016 07:06 AM
